Please note that I'm not bashing you

You can not be born a Christian, however, you can be born into a Christian family.

Second, if you want God's forgiveness than confess your sins and ask him to forgive and save you (just like you did in the question.) That's all it takes. It's that simple. well, I accept every apology. But why do you want to "believe" now? I am not a Christian but I believe in God and that He made it all. I do not belive that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Nor am I Jewish.

However, as an aside, its not peace in Christianity that can be attained. It is indeed, complacency. As I have seen it, this is a take it or leave it et al religion. You may not have any other views on the teachings or translations of the bible other than what is fed to you by the spoonful by church leaders who are forbidden to think for themselves and teach what they believe the bible means.

You won't find peace within Christianity because it isn't there you need to find it. It's within yourself, the one thing we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God made. He, at one time, may have dictated the bible or given some nods towards it but, the sad sad fact remains is that, man, however well meaning, had his hand in transcribing it. Just let that last comment digest for a bit, you'll get it.

Becoming a Christian is the most incredible event that will ever take place in your life. You have found peace with your Creator. You have found everlasting life! Be assured--God will never leave you nor forsake you. He has brought you this far and He will complete the wonderful work He has begun in you. God knows your every thought, your every care and your deepest concerns.

Let's now look at some of those possible concerns. First, and of primary concern -- do you have "assurance" of your salvation? The Bible says to "make your calling and election sure" (2 Peter 1:10, italics added), so, let's go through a short "checklist" to make sure that you are truly saved:

Are you aware that God became flesh in the person of Jesus Christ (John 1:14, KJV), and that he died for the sins of the world?
Did you come to the Savior because you had sinned?
Did you "repent" and put your faith in Jesus?
Are you convinced that He suffered and died on the Cross and that He rose again on the third day?

God acquits us from the Courtroom of Eternal Justice on the grounds that Jesus Christ paid our fine. We are "justified" (made right with God) by His suffering death. The resurrection of Jesus Christ was God's seal of approval of the fact that His precious blood was sufficient to pay the fine.
Think of it this way... You have violated the law and face a $50,000 fine. You tell the judge that you are truly sorry for your crime, but he answers, "So you should be -- you have broken the law! Now, can you pay this fine?" He can only acquit you if the fine is paid. If someone else pays your fine, then he can let you go, but he must have "grounds" on which to release you.

The reason we need a substitute (a savior) to pay our moral "fine," is because we have broken God's Law. To see how much we have transgressed this Law (the Ten Commandments), we will go through some of them -- Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen something? Have you ever lusted after another person? If you answered "Yes" to these questions, you admit that you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart, and you have to face God on Judgment Day! If you have used His name in vain, then you are guilty of "blasphemy" -- you've substituted God's holy Name for a curse word. Perhaps you've hated someone, then the Bible says that you are a murderer. You have violated God's holy Law, and you're in BIG trouble. On Judgment Day, you will be found guilty and end up in Hell. That's why you need the Savior. Merely being sorry for your sins, or confessing them to God won't help you. You must turn from sin (repent), and your faith must be in Jesus Christ alone. He is the only "grounds" for God to grant mercy towards you. If you're not sure of your salvation, make Psalm 51 your own prayer.

Confess your sins before Christ Jesus and ask him to forgive you your sins and he will fill you with the Holy Spirit. Confessing your sins outloud to others is to be done to a local congregation of believers as the first outward step of your inward converstion or repentace from your old ways. You will then want to follow this up with memebership into that local congregation as long as they practice immersion as Christ was immersed to set the example. And it's not a matter of may you find peace in Christianity - it's you will find peace in your personal replationship with Jesus Christ - but never lose sight of the fact that it's the personal relationship that should always outweight the religious relationship so many churches teach. And you are forgiven, not because you need from me, but because you have ask with a genuine heart and that in that genuiness you recognize the need for you to change from the old creature you've geen to the new creature you will become in Christ. Lord, bless this one who has given his soul to you and may you work through him and raise him from his infant state into adult hood. Guide him into a true church that he may not be misled and if his troubles and hurts have brought about the change he needed to make, then I've been more than glad to endure them and if they have caused him such sorrow, then may your forgiveness be enough to bring him the peace of heart that passeth understanding. Amen.

God forgives you in His Son. I am His servant and so I am right along with Him. God bless you and you will find peace in Jesus. Read your Bible pray and find a good church that teaches the Word of God and you'll be fine. It won't always be easy but He knows what He's doing.

Amen brother... welcome... May God bless you ways... and lead you to righteous.

John 8:31

31To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
33They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants[b] and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?"

34Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
