Well, the answer depends on what you mean by prove/disprove. It is impossible to prove anything absolutely. This is because anything that you think that you know may be contradicted by something that you don't know at the time that you think that you have proof of that thing being true. Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and a flat earth are examples to consider.
However, it is possible, in the 'normal, everyday' meaning of prove/disprove to prove the existence of something.
It is however impossible (logical thought dictates) to prove that something does not exist. Just because you have not found evidence of something does not mean that it does not exist: a round earth, before this was 'proven' by measuring shadows at different locations, for example. However, it is reasonable to have significant doubt if many focused and well-meaning, rational people have tried but failed to prove that something exists.
Thus, it is easier to prove that god exists, if god does exist, than it is to prove that it does not exist, if it does not.
Being that many well-intentioned, focused, and rational minds have been unable to prove (in the everyday meaning) the existence of god, I recommend being highly skeptical of claims to the contrary, until some day in which solid proof is found.
(Of course this above paragraph depends on your definition of god; and there are so many.)

It's easier to prove God, because God is very real indeed... So real like a person! I believe that the Truth will always defend itself, and no matter how hard people tried to distort that Truth, lies have no place in the light of the Truth.
Ever wonder how the Good News could survive until today when it first came about 2000 years ago, and yet people have tried to disprove Jesus was God ever since then? How did it survive? Truth will always defend itself, even through period of 2000 years no one can disprove that God isn't real!
Even Dan Brown, despite how convincing the Da Vinci Code was, still couldn't disprove God. No matter how brilliantly he tried to create a conspiracy, he could not back it up b historical evidence and there's nothing to prove that his claims are for real.
At the end of the day, all they have is just a mouth which can only speak convincingly, but God's greater than that and over the years have proved that he is real. How great is the Truth preserved until today!
Therefore, it's indeed very hard and impossible to disprove God!

Most people in the world believe in God. That should be proof enough. Spiritual people don't have to prove anything. They know. To whom would the Non-Believers want to prove there is no God? Their own kind? No, they are already Non-Believers. They would have a very difficult time trying to disprove the existance of God to Spiritual People.

I can easily do both. It has nothing to do with gulibility it has more to do with what facts I present.
Example: I could show that the Bible back talks itself or I could show you historical and scientific facts that back up the Bible. It's all the matter of showing you what I want you to believe.
The truth is science has tried to disprove religion from the time of it's birth and religious people have been proving it the same. It's a back and forth battle. All I would have to do is show 1 side and when you said how about this I could use how that was disproven.
As of right now religion has it, but wait a few weeks it will be changed again.

depends on the definition. as a general rule, it is easier to prove than disprove.
if you define god as a giant radioactive marmoset that eats my house every day before blocking out the sun, the fact that i still have a house, have not been irradiated, and can see the sun are, i think, fairly convincing dis-proofs.
if you define god as an all powerful, all knowing, kind, merciful, perfect and good creator if all things , the fact that there is pain and horror and unimaginable atrocity in the world on a daily basis is a fairly convincing dis-proof
if, on the other (third?) hand you define god as everything and everywhere, pure love and mercy that always has been and always will be, that is kind of hard to dis-prove. In my opinion, that is why as knowledge advances, the definitions of god become more abstract.

Which is easier, to prove You exist or to prove God exists?
The way I see it if you try to disprove you don't exist you've already proven that you exist. Because if you do suceed at disproving you exist, you have had to exist to disprove yourself. We see this so much in zen and other meditation, neti neti neti. Bullshit. And so if you are not separate from God you've just understood that you can't disprove God without proving God does exist to be disproven.
Edit: Commenting on the post below this one. SCIENCE WAS FIRST PART OF THE CHURCH.

How can anyone say that God doesn't exist? Look at the world around you. Look at the way the world works...in nature. Look at the way our bodies work, our internal structure. Could this have happened because once, a long time ago, something went BOOM in space and then suddenly everything was just here? I say the existence of God is undeniable.

Proof, no proof. That is a matter of fact that can be backed up with evidence. God is faith, faith defies logic and reason, what you believe is only a matter of fact to you. But can you hold evidence of your God in your hand and show it to everyone? NO! No proof. You wouldn't ask if it was easier to disprove Dinosaurs now would ya.

it depends on if you believe in god or not you cant go by what someone else say because they might not even believe and it would be irrelevant if you don't look at all the things that happen on the news and in every day life baby's being born and things like that if their weren't a god how do you think you got here or anyone else for that matter and i pretty sure that you ask god to help you every one dose weather they know it or not they might not realize what they say until they hear it from their own mouths that's a no brainier
