you may get a unsecured card with bad credit but it will be for a high interest rate

Capitol One gave me a credit card when i had no credit at all, which is the same as bad credit. The apr was like 21%, but i only had it for about 6 months--long enough to establish a good credit score. It also had no annual fee. Now they come pouring in everyday, but the aprs are about 10%.

Providian and Orchard bank but if your credit is really bad you will need a secured card

i just walked into my bank, wells fargo, and asked for one. i put $500 down. my credit score was 605 at first and now its 725 and 6 months havent even passed. so you can try with your bank. im sure you can put less then 500 on the credit cared. good luck
