take a piece of iron. Wrap a copper wire around the iron in tight close coils. run a charge through the wire. Presto Change-o MAGNET

a simple one.get two wires preferrably copper rubber coated ones and a 9 volt battery wrap both the wires around a nail leaving enough of each to reach the battery.touch the end of one wire to the positive end and the other to the negative and the nail is charged. you'll be picking up paperclips in no time

When the need arises, I wrap a wire around my screw driver and run power through it. Walla, the tip is magnetized again and holds the screw on it.
