If you did, what did you do to deal with it? How did you work with it?

Yes. I was in the Mission District (San Francisco) one day with twenty bucks, a sweltering heat wave & an obsessive need to get my hair cut real bad so I could cool off.

Now, mind you, the Mission District was Carlos Santana's old hood, and many hair salons were Spanish-speaking only. I found one salon that happened to be open on Sunday with a big sign in the window advertising $9 haircuts.

I seized the opportunity, and played charades with the dumbfounded hairstylist who didn't understand that I just wanted a little taken off.

I went from looking like Janis Joplin to Sinead O'Conor in less than an hour as I helplessly watched my hair fall to the floor & walked out of the salon virtually bald.

Best solution? Baseball caps (but expect to be called "sir" by the bag boy at the supermarket whenever he asks you if you want paper or plastic).

Yes: a guy cut my bangs so they were an inch long and cut one side of my hair to be 3 inches shorter than the other and dyed it a hideous shade of brown. You should ask the hairstylist for a repair-cut since you are not happy and otherwise time is the best healer. You can buy some hair accessories suitable for your new hair, or to disguise it. So sorry if it happened to you - I know how it feels. So horrible!

I think we all have had one or two bad haircutts, Its hard to find that perfect hairdresser for yourself, but once you do hold on to her or him. When I had a bad haircut i started wearing a lot of pony tails or funky updos til it grew out more, or you can also wer funky different hats, I find usually about a week after the cuts your hair gets used to it and you get used of it so it is easier to work with it maybe depending how short it is get gel or hairspary nd just play with it different styles...Hope I helped a bit!

Yes, I let it grow out. I styled the best I could and I never let that person cut my hair again.

Yep. I hated it. It was short so I couldn't really do anything about. I grew mine out. But I should have gone to another stylist, I guess.
