Swelling in the ankles is usually associated with a number of serious medical conditions, he should see a doctor, some of the causes are edema, deep vein thrombosis, circulatory disorders related to heart disease, lymphatic diseases, kidney diseases, gout and arthritis to name a few, some of these diseases cause death if not treated in their infancy.
Have him go get a checkup.
Unless of course, there is something kinky going on in his mind and this is an excuse to wear your panty-hose.

As a temporary measure yes, but there are many other long term things he should do to reduce the swelling.
Seriously change the diet and loose weight, eliminate all salt and foods containing salt, exercise more, sit with legs raised high for an hour or so each day, stop drinking all soft drinks. eliminate all animal fat from the diet as much as possible, eat lean meat like fish, chicken breast.
Check blood pressure and cholesteral.
See a doctor.
Good Luck

Yes it is ok. The type of pantyhose that your husband is wearing is for a medical condition and they are very uncomfortable when you have hair on your legs. His hair will grow back.

Rather than use your pantyhose, I would suggest he go to a medical supply store, (even a good pharmacy), and get support hose. They are made for that exact purpose and can even be purchased in a nice black knee high sock. They are very snug and offer far more support than your panty hose ever could. Anyone who stands on their feet all day or has varicose veins, etc, could benefit from such hose / socks.

I think he should use something else besides pantyhose to heal the swelling in his ankles.

That's ok, but that's a short term solution. Often there are medical solutions that can help such as losing weight or lowering salt intake. Also, there are sock that men can wear to make it more comfortable and not a questionable fashion statement.

Let him wear what makes him feel comfortable. If its a medical reason let him do it. You don't need our validation. Until he starts wearing panties and a bra and make-up then you can start the questioning.
