I live in Texas and i have been trying to find out more info..someone help please!

Sounds like your insurance co. is a bit lazy. How about checking with the DMV and see what they suggest because in my state you have to turn in an accident report within 10 days. As for personal experience, my son actually had an old lady back up and hit his car and drove off and all he had was her license plate number. He called the police and they found the old woman and they were able to get her insurance information so my son was able to call them. Hope this helps some and good luck!

Go again to the shop wherein you probably did all this If the character did not have coverage they might have readily left since that they will have to have no longer been there(considering that the vehicle will have to have no longer been at the street) and there through you might no longer have hit them kinda deal. Yea wish for that rationale different then them no longer having coverage your most of the time tousled. But yea return to the shop wherein it occurred and ask round. If they did make a deal out of it they have got made a file or have left there information. Note a car park is personal estate and there for there are a few intriguing laws relying at the state. If you're in main issue touch a lawyer and notice what they may be able to do. It is valued at the couple hundred it should fee. Goodluck

i understand it happen to someone i know had a car damage just because the lady wanted to make a turn where the car was didn't look to see if anyone was there. damage the car badly. it took too long for the police to make a report. there was teenager in the car across from a bar. someone got the licent no. on the car and she was charge with unsafe driving. the cop told they was no proof. had trouble getting money from her insurance company because she didn't report it. get a police report and bring it to your insurance co. you know hers sent a copy to her insurance company. hope this will help

Take her to small claims court. Because you have her license plate, you can get the rest of her info from the cops...or the insurance company somehow. Tell them you are going to take her to court.

Take her to small claims court - file a hit and run complaint against her - get a new insurance company.

I hope you got one or more names of witnesses.
I'm sure you could file a complaint/suit in court for your damages if the police won't cite her and your insurance won't pay (or will raise your rates if they do). But it would help if you have a witness or two.
