in a world when man has been conquering lands and consuming the earth's resources both living and otherwise ..... nature has to find its own way to counter the attack!!
and in this battle, even poop has to find a way to stay its groud and decompose in its natural cource!! ... so in a desperate attempt for survival, poop uses its foul smell as a self defence mechanism to keep humans away from it!!!
hence ... poop gotta smell!!

It is due to the presence of a kind of bacteria in your colon region,when tey come in contact with the faecal matter present inside,they cause the smell.

the odor in feces comes from the bacteria. as the bacteria break down the waste material, smelly gas byproducts are produced. the smell of feces will depend on the type of bacteria present. one particularly nasty one is campylobacter jejuni. whew does that smell foul!
