My parents will be visit Hong-Kong at July or August.
So,I want to tell them where is a good place?
But,my mother is delicate. So, she can't stand a traffic jam, noisy place, and too long drive.

Shopping will be truly crowded and noisy. My #1 recommendation is Victoria Peak. A short tram ride from Central in Hong Kong will take you to the peak which will give you breathtaking and truly memorable views of Hong Kong. This is definitely a must see. Personally, I would recommend going in the evening as the views of the city lights are especially spectacular.

If they prefer more relaxation, the Repulse Bay side of Hong Kong Island is very resort-like with its beaches.

Also, the giant Buddha on Lantau Island (by the airport) is quite a sight. You can also eat with the monks there.

Hope this was helpful!

This is a tough question. The Hong Kong Island is worth a visit for shopping. If you want to see the nice building, or visit the peak, it is also rather serene.

Cross to the main land, the Nathan Street is full of fun too. Shopping, eating and nice busy city view.

I was working there in 1992, and was back just 2 yrs back. Suprisingly, the streets is clean and tidy now. Even the wet market near Ma Yew Ti is super clean!

If you game for some nature, you may visit some hills near the chinese border, or do some island hopping.

There is just too many to talk about in Hong Kong. Not forgetting the religious building tour, food, disco etc. Once a while, you may also find actor actress acting on the streets.

Have fun.

for me the best places are the shops around causeway bay.

but there is a restaurant worth visiting, it is at the top of the park lane hotel... it is a bit pricey, but the view is worth it. they usually have buffets which are cheaper. and staying in park lane hotel is also recommendable as it is in the middle of everything, convenient to drop off things you bought... instead of staying in kowloon.

there's a small restaurant shop with bright red designs near park lane (am not sure if it is beside or at the back of park lane), but it has been there for a very long time. mostly chinese spoken salesladies, but they have english menus... they serve the best cold soy bean milk and congee, great for breakfast.

lots of cheap brandless and imitations in north point and around causeway bay.

be careful buying electronics, as sellers often remove/ switch parts while packing them up... often you'd end up with a canon camera with a konica lens.

i don't really like lining up for rides, but if you do there's the ocean park and disney theme park.

With this requirement by your mom, I will pick Ocean Park instead of Disneyland, Pacific Place and IFC instead of Nathan Road and Mongkok.
