This is how I do it.
1. Boil your hot dogs.
2. After boiling them, take your hot dogs to either a grill or pan. Then cook them until they are nice grilled pattern.
3. Put your buns on the grill or pan, lightly toast them a bit. But don't leave them too long or they'll dry up or be burned.
4. Have mustard,ketsup,relish.
5. For those who want this: Cook up your Chopped Onions, then add butter about 2 tsp, then half a can of tomato sauce. Watch the onions until they are tender.
Buy some sourkraut from the supermarket, then heat them up for a bit until they are tender or give them out cold,so people can put them on there hot dogs.
6. If people they want it,have some melted cheese out. If you know how to make chili, make some so that people can top that on there hot dog (if you don't know how to make it,just buy it by the can, heat it up (follow the directions) and then leave it out so people can use it.
I hope this advice helps you out and I hope you have a successful shop there. ;) mmmm..now I'm hungry, too bad you can sell me one there eh? ;) ::gives you online money for your hot dogs.::

Grill it in an open bit of charcoal not in a micro oven, and not over a gas grill.. To get that down to earthy taste you have to burn it a little not much but you'll know when to take it off the grill.
You will be able to smell the hot dog as if it was the greatest smell of all time.

I grew up outside of Chicago, there was a place called Steamers Hot Dogs, yes they steam theirs, and let me tell you, you would never want to eat another hot dog any other way. And to top it off, chili and cheese makes it even better. But if you can't do that, I love to use my George Foreman Grill for stuff like that. I slice mine half way through and then put them on. It only takes like 6 minutes. Good Luck!

Boil in water.
Grilling takes too much attention - nobody ever burned a hotdog by leaving it in the water too long!

Regardless of the method of cooking (or even if the hot dog comes out of the package fully cooked) you should always make sure the internal temperature of the meat is 160 degrees before serving.

Hot dogs are already pre-cooked. However to heat them through, I would boil them. And for a healthier better taste that is not too salty and fatty tasting go with TURKEY DOGS!
Selection of condiments: nacho liquid cheese, jalapenos, diced/sauteed onions, relish, deli-select mayo, ketchup, various mustards, diced tomatoes, chili, tabasco, etc.

Boil, Grill, Microwave in that order. Just don't let it split open b/c that is gross. Have ketchup, mustard, dill relish, mircle whip as sides. And I guess saurkraut for those nasty people who lik eit. Oh and chili and cheese.

On the grill...and have LOTS of different condiments, like diced onions, cheese, spicey mustard, relish.....
And if you can....make them "all beef" hotdogs.
