I definitely think that giving somebody something without expecting something in return is the most unselfish thing anybody can do. So in that respect, giving is far better than receiving. However, it is not logical to think that people don't want to be on the receiving end once in a while and it gives the other person a chance to feel good about giving. I think a balance of both giving and receiving is good for both parties.

The answer is available in all known religions on the earth. All faiths that I've studied state (basically) that IT IS MORE BLESSED TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE. There is within us a strong desire to give. Gift giving seasons (found in many faiths) stress the need to think of others during these special periods of time. A wonderful feeling overtakes us when we present something very special to someone we care for. We feel good, we appreciate the joy demonstrated on the faces of those who receive our gifts. In giving we actually receive something very special. So to GIVE is also to RECEIVE. Keep it in that order. Be well.

Sometimes receiving is the best gift you can give someone. When it is important to another person to give to you, because maybe you yourself are a very giving person, by all means accept their gift graciously. You know how good you feel when you give someone a present of some sort? Let someone else have the opportunity to experience that pleasure, as well.

Jesus' words in the Bible tells us that it is better to give than to receive. You feel really good when you give something to a friend or to a child or a wife or husband and they have such a pleased look on their face.

Ive always thought that receiving is better. But then I've learned that the hapiness you feel when you give something good sincerely to another person lasts longer and dwells deeper into your feelings. Furthermore, giving sincerely usually leads to somebody else giving you something good sincerely too.

It is always better to give. As long as you give, you will always receive!

Of course being a giver is a sign of power and superriority, and self sufficient. but in terms of emotions give and receive must be equal to make the relationship last.

Quesiton is who you wish to be good...

if you are parent of a child think again!.... give means your kinds think it's good to receive...

So i would say it's subjective... if giving is good,... then if receiver also believes the same you have a problem.... or if you want to teach "giving is good" you have issue...

anyway 2 cents
