My brother was in a very minor dirtbike crash and scratched his leg on the dirtbike peg. It was about 5 days ago and right now some white puss is coming out of it. I am just wanting to know if this is ok and if he should do anything to it, please help immediately!

Sounds like it's infected. Soak the area in very warm (as hot as you can stand it) soapy water for at least 30 minutes and then clean the wound with antiseptic. Apply some triple antibiotic ointment and repeat this process again tomorrow. If he's sick or running a fever, go to the emergency room or your family doctor, as this could be sepsis or blood poisoning. It may sound silly, but you can die from a little scratch if it becomes infected and gets into your bloodstream. Keep a close eye on it.

Where ever he was hurt should have been cleaned out and up thoroughly before hand. BUT it wasn't so you're at the now.."sorry I had to throw that in.....you need to squeeze out all of the ooze that you can..( warm water helps with this along with a bacterial soap. and I do mean all that you can... then clean with various over the counter items like hydrogen peroxide , rubbing alcohol or something along these lines. then apply an anti-bacterial cream, something like neo and cover checking once a day and cleaning again and changing dressings... if it persists for more than 3 or 4 days, he may need a doctor..

I've had cuts and scrapes that reacted the same way.. this is what I did and it worked just fine. but you really gotta watch it close

Of Course you could get him to a doctor now and be real safe

If the wound is red and puffy with the white puss, then I would say that he for sure had a infection. I would have it checked out by a doctor. When was his last tetnus shot? Good luck.

put some peroxide clean it well, put some neosporin and bandage it well, if it starts to get red, painful and puffy around the edges, that is a sign of infection, and then you would either keep an eye on it, or go to the doc. keep it clean with peroxide (it works best as a rinse, just pour, let bubble, pour some more, let bubble, keep doing that until it starts to bubble less)

of course! he needs to go to a doctor right away it could be infected and worse yet it could get so bad very quicly that it causes his leg to be amputated. seriously, minor things can become disasters very quickly if not cared for properly.
