I have absolutly no intention of ever having an abortion, i was just wondering how they perform an abortion when the baby is practically full term? Wouldn't it make more sense to just have the baby and give it up for adoption?
Anyone know how that is performed?

Someone else just asked a question and one of the answers said you could perform it up to 40 weeks!? Just wanted to know if thats actually true (thats kinda sick and should be considered murder!) Or Partial-born abortions, just wanted to know what they are!?

yea this CAP character is only thinking about the women here. First of all at 40 weeks if you do get an abortion you cannot go home that night. That doesn't even make sense!
this describes a partial birth abortion (any abortion past 16 weeks)

This shows pictures of aborted children:(don't look if you have a week stomach)

Anyone thinking it is just some simple procedure is demented. I can't stand hearing that. That baby has a heartbeat at 6 days old... how can you not feel an attachment to him ya know! I don't know I just can't stand abortion every time I see my beautiful son. Use birth control! It is that easy! It would make so much more sense to just give up your baby! It's like saying if I can't have him no one can.. how immature!

Partial Birth abortions are illegal. Only done by illegitimate doctors and pro choice lunatics

I'm not aware of that...I think end of the second trimester is the limit, and that's for those partial birth abortions. The doctor (if that's what you want to call them. I prefer to call them "butchers") will induce a woman's labor and deliver the baby feet first, leaving the head inside the woman's vagina. They take a sharp object (such as bandage scissors) and press into the soft part at the nape of the baby's neck, essentially "scrambling" the brain and killing the baby.

Why do they leave the head inside the woman's vagina and not deliver the baby completely? Why, those babies scream of course, and nobody likes to listen to a screaming baby, right?

Don't tell me abortion isn't murder. The whole thought of it makes bile rise up in my throat.

The only thought that keeps me going is that I'm not one to judge...that comes at the end of your life after you die, by someone much, much higer than me. And God help those women who have aborted. I wish I could say I feel for you all, but I don't. I believe (and pray) that you'll all get what you deserve.

They used to decapitate the head and remove all the limbs. This ensured the baby's death. This is similar to partial birth abortion, except they use a pair of sissors to puncture thru the back of the nape of the baby's head and sever the spinal cord.

I marched on Capital Ave in Boise Idaho to have partial birth abortion abolished. It was abolished in 1998 in the state of Idaho.

In New Jersey, it's a woman's right to murder her baby up to 30 weeks.

Moma who's answer is after mine....ABORTION means to STOP. if the baby is aleady deceased, it can't be aborted you @$$! They would induce labor and it would be stillborn. Some people are so f'in stupid.

These type of abortions are usually performed if the fetus if there are some serious complications to where the fetus is basically just going to die regardless of what a doctor does, or the mother's life is in grave danger to the point that she would die before carrying a fetus full term. It is always a misconception that women want to abort fetuses this late in their pregnancy. There are serious risks to the woman's health if she tries for an abortion beyond her first trimester. Before these type of abortions were illegal they were already rarely used to begin with. I think the standard procedure for perfoming this type of abortion is the same they use for women who are in their first trimester, but I'm not 100% sure.
@Anjelkake, I amended my statement, happy now? BTW, really classy of you to resort to cursing. You could have just simply said that I was wrong and not curse at me. It shows a certain level of maturity to just simply tell the person they were wrong and not curse them out while you're in the process of making your statement. Have a blessed night.

Abortion in and of itself makes my stomach want to puke its contents. It really makes me feel sick.

But I don't think abortion is ever performed at 40weeks. Why would a mother wait that long?

Can you give more details on what you are asking?

There are partial-birth abortions where the doctors actually takes the baby out of the womb at around 20-26 weeks and shoves a sharp vacuum into his/her skull and sucks its brains out causing the cranium to collapse. This is pretty late term.

Find more info about it here...

I know all about it....
they insert a medical form of seaweed to dilate the cervix (this can cause some mild cramping), a vacuum asperator is then inserted and the contents of the uterus are sucked out. That's it. It's not a complicated procedure and the female can go home immediately. For more information check on the link I provided on the abortion procedure.

There is a cut off point. 21.5 weeks. I would have it and then give it up If I were you. ..its hard you get emotionally attached to it...but I wouldn't kill it.
