That's too easy!
For Father's Day, I took a small tin about the size of a cd case, I bought at a scrap booking store (it was relatively expensive, I'm sure you can buy them cheaper at Walmart, etc).
Then I took some modeling clay, rolled it out in the tin (which took some doing, I used a small cup). Follow the directions for using the clay on the packaging before putting in the tin, some say to roll in a ball first, etc.
After I got the clay situated the way I wanted, I pressed my sons hand into the clay (this is the hardest part especially with 2yr olds!). I have a leather press/stamp so I stamped his name in the clay under the hand print.
Then bake the clay according to clay directions, put a picture in the top half of the tin, and you have a simple, cheap, and relatively easy Father's Day present, that isn't another piece of garbage laying around. This is also something that he won't be afraid to sit on his desk or area at work.

I do coupon books with my kids. There are several sites online that have different ones or if your good with art programs you can customize your own.
Just with cute little IOU's like mowing the yard for older kids and picking up after themselves for smaller kids.
You can even make a certificate that promises a day for daddy and child to go fishing or on a picnic together.
That is what I'm personally doing for my man.
Hope this helps.

One year I bought a cheap canvas and several colors of paint. We covered each childs hand in one of the paints and pressed the palmprint to the canvas. We artistically arranges them, printed their name under each paw print, and painted the date in the corner. I did that over five years ago, and that picture still hangs at my back door. We were able to do one for each Papa, and their dad, and the kids were 2, 6, 8 yo at the time.
This year they got little kits to build their dad a little wood box, and they are going to paint those themselves. Try Home Depot or Lowe's for the little kits.

get a smooth rock from the backyard and let them paint it thats fun phrases like "Dad you ROCK!" Or smiley faces. Also you can paint mugs for dad. And make little books out of paper. Painting pictures is fun too. Have them put on a play for dad and bring the whole family to watch! Have fun!
oh yeah colloges are fun too have them paste all the things that reminds them of dad and make picture frames too! Or keep them in the kitchen and have them make a recipe for him!

I have a good idea!! I got this from what a co-workers wife did for him for Father's Day last year. She took her child's footprints and handprints with watercolors. Next, she went to the below web site and choose the right poem for him. She used the first Father's Day poem for him. Good luck.
