Love is what changes us. Relationship changes us.
If we could do it alone, we wouldn't need a Savior.

We cannot change ourselves without His help.
We must ask him
Sometimes he won't allow it.
He has a plan, you see, and it's down to the smallest detail
It's engineered so that you can see the lengths to which he will go in order to succour us. Ask yourself instead: What is God's will? And don't beat your head against a brick wall.
That's the ticket: "May the Holy Will of God be done in me."

we cannot change ourselves,no matter how hard we try. GOD has to change us for his purpose. If we have a cursing problem, than we cant stop ourselves, we have to pray to him for him to change us because if we could change ourselves, we would change ourselves every second of the day.

"I’m doing fine. I don’t need God."
Many people feel this way because of the modern gospel message. It says that Jesus will help their marriage, remove their drug problem, fill the emptiness in their heart, give them peace and joy, etc. In doing so, it restricts the gospel’s field of influence. If the message of the cross is for people who have bad marriages, are lonely, and have problems, those who are happy won’t see their need for the Savior.
In truth, the forgiveness of God in Jesus Christ if for people with bad marriages and people with good marriages. It is for the happy and the sad. It is for people with problems and for those without problems. It is for those who are miserable in their sins, and for those who are enjoying the pleasures of sin for a season. Those who think they are doing fine need to be confronted with a holy Law that they have violated a multitude of times. Then they will see themselves through the eyes of the Judge of the Universe and will flee to the Savior.

HE does not need us to fulfill his needs for HE as the Creator of everything has everything already. HE merely wants us to follow the right path in living life for HE loves what he created and wants us to find real happiness.

Yes, we need His help, every second of every day.
He WANTS us to pray to be changed, to be more like Him.
His needs are that we go out and tell a world full of sin that Jesus saves.

Axts 17:30
God commands all men everywhere to REPENT.
grace is a gift, faith is a gift, our calling and gifts are irrevocable.
If God gave us gifts AND His Son, does this evidence show we need His help?
I think so.
