Don't do it, don't confess unless you fully intend to do the same thing again with this person. If you do, though, it would be nice to warn them.

It is honesty in the true sense of the word but you don't have to tell your new date about your cheating with your ex. Love mentors often advise lovers not to confess everything that happened to them in the past to those people they have present relationships with mainly because, most of the time, they have no bearing as to what would become of the new relationship. They always believe in the saying that "What they don't know would not hurt."

Many possible good relationships have been broken just because one divulged a secret that the other should have not known at all only to find out at the end that the one who learns about the secret cannot move on without being affected by what he or she has learned about.

In serious romantic relationships, the question of whether to confess or not to confess anything to the new object of love depends on the kind of person he or she is. Maturity counts a lot side by side with being understanding. If they are not present in the character of that person, the risk is to lose him, If they are, the good chance is to keep him and make him trust yo more.

Unless that person is the first to ask about that secret, it will be better not to let him or her know about. The telling of the truth will only have to come when confronted with a situation that will call for this honesty.

Yes, it would....but don't be crazy. Do you honestly think that the newbie is going to overlook your cheating past just because you're with them? I think not. Some things are best left in the closet. Always start anew when you can....learn from the past....but don't broadcast it.
