Stuffed French Toast

1 loaf of French Bread-Sliced thin but not too thin
2 8oz. pkgs of Cream Cheese
1 jar of Preserves-any kind you like
8 eggs scrambled
1 cup heavy cream
1 TBL cinnamon
1 TBL Nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup confectioner`s sugar

Prepare a baking pan or dish with cooking spray. put a layer of the French bread along the bottom of the pan. Slice the cream cheese and put onto the French Bread. Put the preserves on top of the Cream Cheese. Then put the remaining bread on top (You need to cover all or the cream cheese and preserves with the bread.) Mix together the remaining ingredients and pour over the bread in the pan. Let sit about 15-20 minutes so the bread can soak up the egg mixture. (You may want to cover the pan with plastic wrap and gently press down on the bread so it acts like a sponge to soak in the egg mix) Cover with plastic wrap and then foil and bake at 350 degrees until the center of the casserole is moist but not wet. (about 45 min. to an hour) Remove from oven and let set for 1/2 hr. before serving. French toast should be able to be cut into squares and served warm with fresh slices of fruit, your favorite syrup or topping. ENJOY!

My Taco Dip

1 large pk cream cheese (not the spreadable kind)
1 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 cup salsa - you decide the strength

Directions: soften cream cheese in micro wave for about 1 minute. Add sour cream and mix. Add taco seasoning and mix. Add cheese and salsa. Mix. Serve with tacos. I usually add more cheese than 1 cup. You can also a a bit of tobasco if you like things hot.

I make a great dip with cream cheese.
8 ounces of cream cheese
8 ounces of sour cream
head of lettuce (chopped)
one green onion
shredded cheese (I use colby)
one package of taco seasoning (in the mexican food isle)

Set the cream cheese out to soften prior to making
Mix the cream cheese, sour cream and taco seasoning together, beat with hand beaters if you have them to make it smooth
Put that mixture on the bottom of a square (or round) glass dish
Layer the lettuce, green onion, cheese and decorate with tomatoes if you desire

Make sure that you dry the lettuce very well after washing (if you don't it can get soupy at the bottom from the water)
Good luck!

rugelach

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened

1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened

2-1/4 cups flour

1 cup finely chopped walnuts

1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. sugar, divided

1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon, divided

1/4 cup raspberry preserves

BEAT cream cheese and butter in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gradually add flour, mixing well after each addition. (Dough will be very soft and sticky.) Divide dough into 4 portions; place each on sheet of plastic wrap. Pat each portion into 1-inch-thick circle, using floured hands. Wrap plastic wrap around each circle to enclose. Refrigerate overnight.

PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Cover baking sheets with foil or parchment paper. Mix walnuts, 1/2 cup of the sugar and 2 tsp. of the cinnamon; set aside. Roll each portion of dough to 11-inch circle on lightly floured surface, lifting dough occasionally to add more flour to work surface as necessary. Spread each circle evenly with 1 Tbsp. of the preserves.

SPRINKLE nut mixture over preserves. Cut each circle into 16 wedges. Roll up each wedge, starting from wide side. Place, point sides down, on prepared baking sheets; shape into crescents. Sprinkle with combined remaining 1 tsp. cinnamon and 2 Tbsp. sugar.

BAKE 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately remove from baking sheets. Cool on wire rack.
