Open the lines of communication with her. Start by listening to her more (not talking more).
Ask her about her hopes and dreams, about what she thought her life would be like when she was your age, ask what she thinks her best qualities are and what she thinks your best qualities are, ask her about family traditions and stories.
Show her that you love her, that you are invested in your relationship with her, that you take her/her words seriously, and that you're capable of thinking for yourself but can appreciate her wisdom.
After a couple of weeks, hopefully she will begin to be more open with you and will start asking you questions in return, and then you can tell her about choices you've made, your feelings about those choices, and how you think they may impact your dreams/plans for the future.
Also, be willing to consider asking her for help in quitting smoking. There are few things that will make your adult life more difficult than being a smoker (tobacco costs are rising, few public places allow smoking, the smells associated with smoking are considered especially unattractive for women, the money you spend on tobacco supports corrupt politicians that make major decisions that hurt your life, it's harder/more expensive to get health and life insurance as a smoker, smoking increases your medical bills as it makes you more prone to upper respitory infections in winter and cancer in middle age, etc.)

I was 15 when I told my mom that I was pregnent and then the next day I snuck in the fact that I smoked. Maybe you could say your pregnent then say just joking I only smoke and maybe she will be so relieved that your not preggers that the smoking wont phase her.As for the virgin thing just tell her. I have a 19 yr. old daughter and as soon as I found out she was having sex I took her to the docs and got her on the pill. I wanted to protect her as much as I could. I have been telling her about stds, aids, babies, drugs, and sex since she was old enough to walk. I didnt want her to walk the same road as I did as a teen mom and I am sure your mom wouldnt want you to either.

Well, if youre really ready to tell her have her sit with you for a heart to heart. Break it to her gently about not being a virgin, it will come as a shock to her. When I was 15 I told my mom and she actually cried. The smoking part....well...You shouldnt smoke, but I am not judging you...but you are underage right?? Im not sure how she will react but honesty is the best policy...just be kind and dont tell her out of anger. good luck

Tell your mom you really value the relationship you have with her and always feel you can talk with her about things in your life. Tell her you need to be open with her and let her know you are smoking and are trying to quit( which I would hope you are doing!). If she asks if you are a virgin , tell her the truth. But if she doesn't ask, you don't need to offer that information unless you want to.
Then plz try to quit smoking before it's too late!

stop smoking...stop lying...and learn how to spell you're 16 for f*cks sake...you should be concentrating on school not being a little smoking promiscuous girl.
i know this is a mean answer but seriously...some one needs to slap some sense into you.
p.s ever try hitting the spell check button before asking questions that make you look stupid? tough love, some people just need a double dose in life...

If you hate lying, just tell her the truth If that seems too hard, then quit smoking. I would tell her about the sex too. Mom's understand more than you think. She'll want to make sure that you are being safe.
Good luck.

ok, so i started smoking when I was 15 and now I am 24 and still smoking. I swear to you if you don't stop now you will regret it. The years will fly by and its going to be harder everytime you light one up. STOP WHILE YOU CAN!!! Then you won't have to tell anyone anything. Besides you don't want to kiss ur dream guy and have him mistake you for an ashtray do you? As for the virgin thing...just be honest! PROTECT yourself and try not to let these guys use you. ..give it to someone you love.

Ask Your mother to sit and Talk and tell her you have started to have sex, and you would like to be safe and need her help and tell her that it was an experience you wanted her to know about ... You need to quit smoking it is a waste of money and well it's bad for you.... Get over it, spend the money on condoms so you do not get pregnant....

are you close to your mom? why are you scare telling her your story? you need to be honest so she can trust you. but since you already spoil her nice thoughts of you, just open up and discuss things that you want her to know, ask her opinion and get her advice on things that bothers you.
just like now, you are asking us, you should be asking her straight to the point. what does she think of you now that you're 16 but not a virgin anymore?
regarding smoking, you should stop that new habit as it is bad for your health. you are too young to start inhaling that nicotine, think of those advertisement that shows what happen to your lungs and your health, its not good. i bet your mom would not like that either.
