People can speak whatever language they want. Just don't expect the Americans who speak English to change. I think it'd be like going to France and forcing them to speak English.

YES I DO!!!!! English has ALWAYS been the language of this country, and should NEVER be changed!!

I have no problems with other nationalities speaking in whatever their native tongue is,as long as they do it AT HOME,but when out in public places,i think everyone should speak English. Besides,i think it is VERY RUDE to speak in a language that not EVERYONE understands!!! It's a simple matter of COURTESY!

Ok this is what i think... I think that in school you need to know english because at my school like alot of others we have esol and if you don't know english then you can go there to get help. but they let people (usually it is spanish speakers) who know english go there also and it isn't fair because they let you use textbooks even if your talking a test. That to me isn't fair becasue that is cheating and they are getting good grades while all of us are not. And don't think that i am racist or anything because i have spanish friends who have gone to esol even though they spoke english and understood what was going on. And they HAVE TOLD ME that they go there to cheat so they can pass the test. that's the one thing that gets me mad bacuse while i have to stay up and study my butt off they can just cheat by going to esol. Also alot of the teachers know this and there is nothing that they can do about it because the person is in the program when they don't have to be.
Other than that i don't care what you speak it's ok with me. i just want everyone to be treated fairly in school and have to work as hard as the other one does and get the decent grades that they deserve.

I think it's good to know and be able to speak more than one language, but if you live in the USA and your speaking to someone that only knows English, that's the language you should talk to them.

No, if you people believe in the rights of "freedom of speech" so much, then how would it be if someone restriced you from saying something that you wanted to say. Nothing wrong with speaking more than one language excpet I don't have to use any other ones than English most of the time,
