It all depends on the student. You learn in every school. Most importantly, you have to watch how people dictate judgement. I think that assumption is crazy but opinion are *******. You are a single parent and you need to save that 600.00 to enjoy your life with your family. "All work and no play makes jack a dull boy", my mother replies, everyday. Save that money sweetheart.

When I attended the Indiana School For The Blind, there was only 180 students in the whole school, 10 or less per grade. We had a mandatory daily study hall after school with teachers in attendance if we had any questions. I travled all over the country competing in track, dance and cheer leading competitions. In the fourth grade, in music class we learned how to read sheet music, in the 5th grade we had a choice to take either piano or band lessons. I became proficient at the piano. The entire piano department gave two annual concerts at Christmas and at the end of the school year.

Private school is always nice, the one on one attention but if it's just not feasible don't be ashamed or worried about putting them in public school.
I am a VP on PTA at my daughters school. It's a public school. I am very confident in what they are teaching and of their techniques. Schools need to be checked out and all are not great. But most of them are really good and absolutely acceptable.
Don't deplete your family of your money and time having to make those ends meet. Do what is right and affordable...DO NOT worry about what other people say, if they want to pay your bills then by all means criticize and judge away. But until then they are your babies and it is your back breaking to pull it all of.

I went to both a public and private school and I found that private schools are really worth all the hype and money that you pay for them. The truth of the matter is, a public school can be just as tough and good as many private schools. It just matters where you choose to go. If you do your research (on good schools as well as what your child enjoys to study), you will find that it doesn't matter whether it is public or private.

Public school stinks! Think about this: bullies, really bad cafeteria lunches, people that smell bad, gang-involved kids. I don't think that's the best idea. In private school, they don't have that. I know because I am a ten-year-old who goes to private school and I ACTUALLY watch the news about what happens in public schools.

i am in public school and honestly i dont think its too bad. if i were you i would talk to my kids about it. if you were to just suddenly take them out of private school, they probably wouldnt be to happy because they would have to meet new friends. if your kids dont seem to like the idea, tell them some of the pros of public school, like no uniforms etc. you definitely wouldnt be a terrible mother- i mean, whose fault is it that you cant afford private school anymore? not yours.
GOOD LUCK!

Depends on how old they are. First find out about the public schools in your area? talk to neighbors and other parents who send their children there and just make sure its not horrible. Then if your children are all in elementry school then I personally think it would be a bad move to put them in a private school. First the most important grades are highschool..agreed? And you need a good junior high to get in a good high school and preperation but you dont need a good elementry school for a middle school. Basically my advice is....
1.)find out about public schools in your area
2.)Send your kids to public elementry schools
3.)If possible send them to a private junior high school
4.)send them to a private high school

I went to public school, and at that time it could be a little rough, but motivated kids could learn. I think if your kids are not motivated or need special attention it will be harder on them than if they are already high academic achievers.

Try charter school. It is public school with possible private school quality. But do some research to see whether you have charter school in your area. Also like all public school, charter schools differ from each other.
