well why not just say 'i love jesus', as in todays society 'being in love' denotes more of a sexual undertone

and i also find it amusing how people who claim to be christian go tell me to 'suicide myself'

There is a difference between Agape love and Eros Love. What Christians are referring to is Agape love, which is the pure spiritual love of God and human.

Eros is romantic love.

Christians love the Lord. That does not mean "in love" the way we use that phrase nowadays.

It's a higher love than two humans can know. And it's not based on any sexuality. Without Jesus, there would be no love, including sexual, romantic love between man and woman.

To Lola: Jesus created the people who invented Tylenol and Midol.

The love Christians have for Jesus is called Agape love. It is a Spiritual love that is far beyond any other love. It has nothing to do with sexual or romantic love. It is pure, and the sweetest peace filled love that is beyond words.

God bless you!

I think that even loving Jesus is a bit much. He doesn't love our generations. Why can't he make my water into wine? I could use the money on other things and I'm sick all the time. The people who invent tylenol and midol heal me. Not Jesus.

The Bible describes two types of love. One is Eros and the other is Agape. Eros love is the sinful love that people have towards each other, the sexual lust and stuff like that. but Agape love is Godly spiritual love that is the most purest thing ever its putting someone totally before you its not selfish at all. God=Love thats why God loves you.

The biggest flaw in your thought process is your mistaken conception of what Love is. The world would have us think that Love is sex. Lets face it sex sells. Love is much greater than that. The simplest example is the command to Love other as you Love yourselves. That means if a person one knows is facing hard times and all one has is twenty dollars than give that person the twenty dollars.
The Love we feel for God is not as pure I fear. We love God because he first loved us. While we still hated him, fighting against his very control on our lives, he died for us so that we may live. There is no greater Love than one should die for his freinds. He called us freinds though we despised him.

Agape love - pure - non sensual love. (pronounced; Ah-gop-ay)
Eros - sensual, as a man feels toward a woman, the root word of erotic, not the same as Agape (pronounced E-roe-ss)

Agape can be like the love one feels for his brother, mother, father, sister, aunt, Uncle, friends... etc... Selfless Love.

There is nothing sick about being "in love" with the Creator of the universe; who came to earth as Son of God and Son of Man and died for our sins so that we could live for eternity in heaven, instead of eternity in hell.
I say we "could" because it is not assured = you have to do something==believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as God's Son and Savior, ask Jesus into your life, ask for forgiveness of your sins (and we have all sinned) and then rejoice because now your name is written in the Book of Life. If it is not written, you will not see Heaven.
Jesus came to die for our sins, no other god did this, check it out!
Yes, I am in love with the Savior of my soul, and yours if you wil alow it.
No, this is not for ignorant people, or crap as suggested = "Wise men and women still seek the Lord"
I am sorry that you were referred to as "uneducated" further up. The only dumb question is the one NOT asked. To get educated about anything requires searching, questioning = keep asking, keep searching, ask God to make Himself real to you. He will!
