years ago i had a recipe for this. As best i remember, you put orange juice, ice cubes, and a little Jello vanilla pudding MIX in a blender. blend it till the ice is tiny.

I don't think there were any other ingredients.

It didn't taste EXACTLY like an Orange Julius, but it was similar, and tasted very good.

The original of Orange Julius was reportedly Tiger's Milk from Adelle Davis popular book of the time, "Let's Get Well".

Here's her recipe -

This formula can be made with a variety of ingredients and should be
adjusted to your own taste buds. Combine and blend in a blender or with
an egg beater the following:

2 egg yolks or whole eggs (best: organic)
1 tablespoon each Lecithin (granular or oil) and mixed vegetable oils (she
likes safflower or flax seed)
1 1/2 tsps. calcium lactate or 4 tsps. calcium gluconate
1/2 tsp. magnesium oxide
1/4 c. yogurt (with acidophilus) or 1 Tbsp. acidophilus culture (liquid
preferred)
1 tsp. granular kelp (optional)

When thoroughly beaten, add:

1 to 2 cups whole or skim milk (she prefers medically-certified raw milk)
1/4 to 1/2 cup yeast fortified with calcium
1/4 to 1/2 cup non-instant powdered milk
1/4 cup soy flour or powder
1/4 cup wheat germ (optional)
Nutmeg or 1 tsp. pure vanilla (this should help the taste)
1/2 cup frozen undiluted orange juice

Pour into a container and add the remainder of the quart of milk; cover
and keep refrigerated. Stir each time before using.

I used to love that drink. I know it has a mixture of orange juice with pulp, and either orange sherbet or even plain vanilla ice cream. You could order it with a raw egg blended in if you paid extra. I guess you could experiment with amounts to get it to suit your taste. Good luck.
