A lot of guys say they like it but they really don't. Or at least they don't date you if you call/ask them out.

I see no harm in it. Unless you (or the guy) is old-fashioned. My mother is 61 and has just started dating a man (after being single for more that 12 years.) She refuses to call him, he has to call her, because she says it's not lady-like to call a man. I was the first to initiate the phone conversations(including asking for his #) With my hubby...Weve been together ever since, that was almost 9 years ago. Depends on the people involved I suppose!

I don't see anything wrong when a lady asks a guy for his phone number. I've done that a few times before- and they were actually flattered. Plus, it lets the guy know that she's interested in him and she will give him a call.

Well if the guy is your husband of boyfriend and he gives it to her let all hell break loose but if you are the lady and he is single then nothing is wrong with that. But if you are the daughter talk to the dude tell him you need to talk he'll understand.

I know that I would never do it... I would start up a conversation him and be flirty but other than that I'm pretty old school and I like the guy to take control.

I think that it is fine if the woman feels secure enough to do it. if a woman is willing to pay for here part and get a job and all that then she is probably going to be strong enough to do whatever it is she wants. this isn't the old days anymore.
