The pasteurizing process and other additives give the juice its taste consistency. The mass producers of product have a very selective process about content.

I would imagine that allot of product does not make it to the major brand, but does go into sub or less quality brands which begins to speak to the price for superior brands like Tropicana.

Store brands are less expensive, quality is spotty at best....

They don't, that's what I used to think until moving to florida, (full of OJ freaks). At certain times of the season, Tropicana juice doesn't quiet taste as good and sweet, oranges don't get a good sweet flavor until a little cool weather hits the trees, so they store huge stainless containers full juice, and mix batches to even out the flavor

The oranges are peeled and marinated in roach pee for 48 hours before being crushed between the toes of senior citizens over 70...and then it's strained thru used baby diapers and bottled in recycled plastic bedpans....mmmm,mmmm.

they use da same concentration also da company uses da same ingredients in its factory or maybe look at the label to find out more.
