Personally I support Bush and always have. And I think if a foriegner came without a passport and a visa then they are a criminal. I actually like most foriegners (though I wish more of them spoke english and were tax paying citizens)and I am not predjudiced, but I believe America is for American citizens, not Mexican, Asian, European, Latin-American, South American ,Canadian, or even Australian citizens.

After reading the answers I noticed that many of you said something about giving the illegals amnesty. But think about it like this: If we put them in jail other countries would hate us (some more than they already do), and WE would have to pay more in taxes to feed, clothe, and shelter the illegals.

I support Bush except for his Immigration ideas. I also do not support the Senate Immigration Bill. The people do not want this immigration enforced. All the illegals are here for is a job and not to become citizens. Because of this, they are driving the wages down in the U.S.. Congress needs to put this Immigration Bill to a vote on a National level. Let the citizens decide if the illegals stay or go home. I have a feeling that the people would vote for the illegals to leave and submit the proper documents to come here legally. That is why we have laws and our Congress should obey them as well as every citizen who lives in the U.S.

I support Bush on some things, but ABSOLUTELY NOT on amnesty for illegals!!!!!!!! If they give these CRIMINALS (and they are ALL criminals, because they've broken our laws) amnesty, then why not just OPEN our prison doors and let ALL the criminals go free??!!! After all,i'm sure a LOT of them are "poor" people who just need money to feed their family! Isn't that the EXCUSE for the illegals??!! The Senate vote for amnesty, was a SLAP IN THE FACE to every legal, law-abiding,taxpaying citizen!!!

what is an imagrant? none of our cultures origanated here plus the poor indians were put to the side, this is the promise land and i think all people should be welcomed. at the same time they should support this country by paying taxes, saying the pledge without crying. i do not support the illegal imagrants, but why not support the ones who have the right to be here?

I think especially since 9/11, that it doesn't hurt to have boundaries, but I think that the rules could be a little less harsh, I mean, I understand the consequences for illegals, but the ones I've seen are too extreme.

My opinion may not be everyone else's.

you are on the late freight my dear, nothings going to happen until after the election, it would not be good politically for either party. I have always voted Republican and always will, so a few of them tried to sell the country out, I would like to give a shot out to the 3 democrats that voted against the senate bill.

i agree that there shouldnt be illegal immigration, but i just dont like how everyone says that its dumb for the mexicans to feel victimized in this whole situation, when in my opinion bush is really aiming this towards the mexican immigrants because he put hundreds of troops on the us/mexico border but not any on the us/canada border.. chinese immigrants is just as bad in alaska. bush should take that fact into consideration and focus more than jsut on mexicans

The idea that Bush wants to give illegal aliens amnesty is enough for me to register independent and eff off the republican party.

First of all I would like to appologize on behalf of all my people, and by people I mean "white people". We have heard for years that we are a horrible race, and you know what you are right. So I have taken it upon myself to talk to all my people, and we have all agreed to appologize for real. So we are very sorry, Hope you will forgive us. This goes out to all the races that are not white. If anyone disputes this they are just kidding no matter what they say .

When I am asked a question regarding immigration, I always think about my favorite poem: The New Colossus.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Essentially, our country was founded on emigrants. We need, in our current day and age, to recieve the "tired...poor...huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse" with open arms. I realize that if I were foreign, and wished to be part of the greatest country in the world, I would like to be welcomed to be a part of the American Dream. Well. That's about all I have to say about that.

No amnesty for the Illegals. They shwed no respect for our laws. They VIOLATED our border and entered Illegally. They willingly became criminals and need to be deported.
