I installed Norton System Works 2006 on my other computer. About 95% of the way through it, it stopped and said an error prevented it from completing, and it gave me a link to visit to fix the problem. Turns out, it said I needed ActiveX installed on my comp, which I did not have. So I installed that. Once I did, it prompted me to restart my computer. Now, every time I try to turn my computer on, it gives me the Blue Screen of Death. This is what it says:

"STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x000003a (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down."
What's this mean?

First I doubt that it has anything to do with Norton or ActiveX. BSD is usually a hardware issue, memory issue and sometimes a software issue. Since you say it is happening when you boot then I lean toward something other Norton and A...X. Start with the simple stuff such as try to boot into safe mode, if you cant then try repair from your boot disk and and if still no good start looking at memory, video card etc. . . let me know if you need more details

It means you goofed when you did the active x thing first, with out getting rid of the Norton load. Try booting up and doing an "F8" before windows loads, then try item 2 to get a boot log. If it still crashes, boot in safe mode and you will be able to read the boot log from first load and see where it crashed. Then (in safe mode) un-do what you did before in active x and start over.

I'd say Norton seriously messed up your Windows installation.If you can get to Safe Mode, do a System Restore and see if you can get Windows running again. If not, time for a reinstall

I used to hear plenty of Def Leppard and I burned out on them thoroughly. That was once decades in the past, and I have not had a want to hear them in a long time. The different bands you stated- GnR, Boston, and Styx are also on my burned-out record....
