There will have been a major war over the supply of oil. This will use up all the oil. The survivors will be keeping warm by burning old plastic bags.
There will be no fresh water.
The landscape will have been devastated by genetically modified wheat unexpectedly becoming carniverous.
Everyone in Africa will have died of AIDS.
Gauntanamo Bay will still be going strong - no-one will have had a trial.

We will be here but there will be Almost NO water and water will be very expensive and hard to get...
People will be shaved of all hair in order to economize water...it will be like Mad max but with Water instead of GAS
