Lady should you return to your ex after in a disappointing two year relationship?

My best friend of eight year is ever so un decide if she want to return to her ex I mean they have child together and she feel that they should be together because of the child well being but at the same time he has been lying to her about a lot of **** in the past two year so would you tell a sister in need of help
