he goes through the 10 commandments and asks if you have broken them. I have basically done all of them except for murder. It just made me feel like a bad person, and that sin is inevitable and that there is nothing I can do about it. Anyone else feel this way?

Sin IS inevitable. The point is that you keep trying to do what is right and ask God to help you. He loves you---he's not going to abandon you if you are doing your best! As long as your heart is sincere, just live your life doing what you know is right, and you have nothing to fear.

First, the 10 commandments as such are not binding today--part of the Old Testament. However 9 of them are repeated in the New Covenant (not the Sabbath). Not sure if I would trust an actor's website as the authority on scripture...

Romans 3:23--all have sinned, fact. But there is a way out: Hebrews 5:9-- Jesus is our salvation if we OBEY Him. What does each individual need to do? Acts 2:38-- repent & be baptized for the remission of your sins.

Some religious people just get off on making you feel bad or worthless. This increases their power over you. If you want to feel like a slave, keep reading stuff like this. If not, don't believe everything you read. I can give you an invitation to a website that will make you feel a lot better. Contact me.

If you have confessed your sins and named Jesus as your Savior and Lord, you don't have to worry about your sins. When Christ died on the cross, He paid the penalty for all of our sins- past , present, and future. Therefore, as Paul teaches, " there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" ( Romans 8:1). The apostle also writes, " Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered" ( Romans 4:70. We are forgiven, we are assured of having eternal life. Those are matters we don't have to worry about.
Although God does not condemn us for our sin, Satan, the deceiver. on the other hand, tries to place us under guilt, and he torments believers, like you, with thoughts exactly like you have asked. If we believe lies like such, we will live in bondage and not the freedom that Christ has purchased for us.
So don't worry about your sins, rejoice in God's forgiveness He provided through the death of His son. At the same time, commit yourself to living a righteous life. Paul asked, " Are we to continue to live in sin that grace might increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?" ( Romans 6:1-2) You should confess any sin which the Holy Spirit makes you aware of. You don't need to ask for forgiveness since you're already forgiven- but you do need to acknowledge your sin and consider yourself alive in Christ and dead to sin ( see Romans 6:11)
Resist the devil, ( see James 4:7) and renounce any effort on the enemy's part to place you under guilt and condemnation.
Hope this is helpful.

Well the bottom line is that sin is inevitable, BUT because Jesus died for our sins we can be saved and go to heaven. That's why Christianity is so amazing, God knows that we will mess up and struggle, no matter how hard we try not to sin, it happens, all the time... but he forgives us, and so long as your fix your eyes on Jesus and have faith, you WILL be saved. =) Amen, and that is why I love Jesus!

His premise is that until you see yourself as a sinner you will not see your need for a Savior. If your life has been radically transformed by your faith then you are a practicing Christian and should have no problem accepting Christ's atoning sacrifice for your sins.

The main reason for the 10 commandments is to make us feel guilty. I don't think anyone has kept all or most. You are about normal. Don't worry about it.

Just make an effort to TRY a little harder next time. And sure God is a forgiving God, but I hardly think the idea was meant to be looked at as if it were a license to be negligent.

I don't know why GOD would have made us sinners and condemn us for the same.Is that an oxymoron?I believe GOD wants us to do our best to live right. We all know the difference between right and wrong.Life is just a bunch of yes or no choices.nothin to feel guilty about.

No because Jesus died on the cross for our sins. he rose 3 days later. If you ask he will forgive. You have to be sincere. Ill say a prayer for you !! We have all sinned and fallen short. If there was no sin Jesus would not have died for us.
