We must ask, but we must also in humility ask if it be HIS WILL. Even Christ when suffering in Gethsemane begged "Father, let this cup pass from me, but not as I will, but thy will be done".
If the Lord had answered Jesus' plea to let the pain stop...then the salvation of mankind would have been obliterated. We must ask in faith, but always be accepting of the Lords will to do what he knows is best for us in our lives. Even if it is the hardest thing we will ever go through, there is a purpose for it. He is making us into the person he needs us to be.

This is the hardest thing for most people to accept about God. God will always answer your prayers, but not necessarily the way you want them answered. Think of it this way: two people are praying that their team wins a football game, but their teams are competing against each other. They can't both get what they want by praying, can they?
In the case of someone being sick, we don't know the reason that God lets these things happen, but I believe there are reasons. Sometimes losing someone you love teaches you to aprreciate the people you still have more. Sometimes the person who dies grows closer to God through the course of the illness, and makes peace with God in a way that they would not have if they'd lived a long, easy life and died suddenly. We really never know what the purpose of our life experiences was until we die ourselves. So, when you pray, always remember that the most important thing to say is what Jesus said to the Father, "Not my will but Thine be done." We don't know more than God. We just have to trust Him, and try to do what's right ourselves. By the way, I am sorry you had to lose someone you cared about.

God does everything in His time and His way, which often does not gel with ours. There is a reason this happened, although it is not apparent now. You can never tell how a situation can touch the life of another later on down the road. In a way, God did heal him, as he is no longer suffering; He just did not heal him in the way you were hoping...I know it doesn't make sense to you now or help the pain you are feeling. Just understand that God loves you and He has a plan, even if it doesn't make any sense to you down here.
I am sorry for your loss. I hope that you will soon begin to heal and be at peace with this.

First of all I am sorry for your loss. It is ok to hurt and its ok to cry.

God did answer your prayer, he healed your loved one.
They are no longer in pain or agony. What God did not do, was answer your prayer in the way that you wanted, but in his way and his time, and that is because God knows way better than we do what is needed and when.
In the book of Acts, paul prayed for healing of the thorn in his side, God answered saying "My grace is sufficient" Paul understood that he would have to wait until he parted from the earth to receive his healing.

David prayed for the death of his enemies, God spared David , but did not kill his enemies. Many prayers are not answered how we believe they should be, some are. We only need to know that they are answered and sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes it is wait, and sometimes the answer is no.

May God bless you and keep you and please keep on reading the bible, the more you read the more that will be revealed to you. It is a process that will take a lifetime, and is well worth the final reward.

Your prayer was answered in a much greater way than you can see at this time. You stated you prayed for healing, well my friend he was healed. He has no more pain, no more tears, and a much greater and abundent life now with Jesus. Believe in this, because your prayers were answered.

Yes that is right but "we have to pray according to His will not ours!" That is hard to swallow at times!

Don't become discouraged! Search the scriptures with a open heart and I do believe you will find the answer you are looking for! Do you also go to church somewhere? If you do maybe you can ask your pastor or someone you know that is a pastor!!?

1. It was your friends time to go. His soul longed to be light.
2. There probably was some healing that took place. Just not the kind you had in mind. Not your will , but His will be done.

The Bible is a good book that can help guide you to live a better more fulfilling life, but if you read it and take every word as an absolute you're going to be so disappointed.

sometimes prayer doesnt get answered exactly the way you would expect. there is a reason behind everything that God does even though you dont see it. everyone has to die sometime. he is in a better place. dont give up on God. He loves you he didnt do it to hurt you in anyway. God may have called him up to be with him because he needed him. If you stay true to the lord when u die you will reunite with him. keep your head up and keep your faith in the lord.
hope this helps.

There are too many unknown variable's to answer that question. This is a complicated physical world, and a very complicated Spiritual world. To put into operation "if you ask anything in my name",is hard, very few Children of GOD reach that position.
Our comfort is in knowing that we will all meet again in HEAVEN.
Hope this helps.
