My kid played with her chicco toy car and fell, got 2 head bumps. Good thing she didn't injured her head extensively. Is the toy company liable for that? They should make toys that are injure proof.

LMFAO, I take it this is your first child? Bumps and bruises happen, you can check and see if the toy was recalled or call the company to file a complaint. Thing is about companies being liable for a injury you have to prove the toy was defective, not just that your child is uncoordinated or too young to be playing with it in the first place.

there are no toys that are injury proof. the only way that chicco would be liable would be if the toy had a malfunction or something along those lines. if all parents sued because their kids got hurt with a toy, we surly wouldn't have very many toy companies left. give her some tylenol and put some ice on, she'll be okay, kids gets tons of bumps a bruises throughout childhood

If you can make a toy that is injure proof you'd be a millionaire! Your child is going to fall get bumps, scrapes, cuts, bruises, etc. You might as well face facts. She is going to possibly brake bones, get sprains, bumps on the head there is nothing you can do to prevent that. I looked at the picture of the car. By sitting in the way she was suppose to there was no way she could have fallen out and hurt herself. If she was playing on in a way it was not intented and she fell than it is not the company's fault. You just need to deal with the fact that your child is going to get injured.

Why would the toy company be liable? It's an accident, things like this happen to kids. Don't be so sue happy like the a good majority of people. Be a responsible parent and chalk it up to an accident as accidents will and do happen.

Good luck finding an injure proof toy. Kids fall, they bump and they bruise. You cant blame everyone and everything for everything that happens. Kids are kids. Part of discovering life, is learning about the bumps and bruises. You cant save your child from EVERYTING you might as well get used to that. I have a 1.5 year old boy and a 2.5 year old boy. If i tried to save them from every bump and bruise, they wouldnt have toys, i would live in a one level house with padded walls. no tables or chairs....really life happens. Lighten up.

It would not hurt to call the company.....and see if there were any injuries reported with the use of the toy.....HOW OLD IS THE TOY CAR? IS it used? In POOR CONDITION? WHO WAS WATCHING YOUR CHILD WHEN IT HAPPENED? THESE ARE SOME THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO ANSWER ON YOUR OWN Before you go looking for a possible lawsuit----GOOD LUCK!!!

Are car companies liable if you crash your car?

There are no toys that are 100% safe. If you believe it was a malfunction with the toy then you should call the toy company.

Im a first time mom and although its way scary when your kid falls and gets hurt, its not technically the toys fault as long as the toy didn't fall apart or malfunction in anyway! I'm glad your child wasn't seriously hurt I would have been pissed at the toy as well!!!!

At some point you are going to have to accept that your kid will get bumps and bruises, and that every toy has the potential to hurt your child no matter how it's made or how carefull you or the child is.

Most kid toys have the ages listed. Stick with those kind of toys.
