Make pet adoption your FIRST option. Check out the ASPCA link below to learn why.
Another thing, Dogs aren't an acessory like a designer handbag----they are a living creature just like you and me.

Well, you'd have a very difficult time trying to find one cheap as the term "teacup" is used by irresponsible breeders who want to make a lot of money. But, you're on the right track if you're looking for a small dog for your 15 month old child...only an irresponsible breeder would sell you one. The price of a dog is only the first step...the money you invest in it's care and for veterinary care usually exceeds that and if a child injures a small dog, you can pretty well be prepared for some hefty vet bills. Enjoy your toddler and wait until the right time when you can fully enjoy and take care of a small dog...

You might not want to get a teacup poodle, they are VERY tiny and with a small child they might not understand it is a dog and not a toy. We have a toy poodle which is still small, but more sturdy if you want a small dog.

When my siblings and I were younger we had bigger mellow dogs ( I recommend a laberdoodle, very mellow and friendly but still adorable) Poodles, especially the smaller ones, are high maintenance, yappy, and usually not good around small children.

With a 15 month old baby, you do not need to get a tiny, tiny pup. Take a Chihuahua for instance, as a breeder, I would not allow you to adopt one of my pups. Your daughter could kill it, or hurt it badly. They are very delicate and a small child does not know how to handle one. Besides if you are looking for a tiny dog, you are not going to find one cheap, specially in New York.

most of the tiny ones basically don't have teeth progression yet to bite the dry nutrition. one component you could desire to make particular is that the nutrition is small bites. the massive bites are a lot too massive for their tiny teeth. additionally a lot of breeders who declare to reproduce "teacup" chihuahuas will sell you a 6 week previous puppy and inform you it is 8 weeks previous. proceed to feed the canned nutrition yet pass away the kibble out continually. while it is waiting, it is going to consume the dry. interior the interim you will could desire to handle mushy stool. savor that new toddler! additionally could desire to be on puppy nutrition no longer person nutrition. Did the breeder inform you what the puppy became eating?

My best advice would not to get a dog at all, especially not a small dog as your daughter doesn't know the difference and could hurt it possibly even kill it.

Are you kidding? About buying your 15 month old child a dog? I would get her a stuffed one if I were you and name it 'dog'.

Please go to your local rescue or shelter first. There are so many animals out there in need of good and loving homes. PLEASE, RESCUE FIRST!!!!!!!!
But for a child that is 15 months old, I do not recommend that you buy a real dog until she is much older.
