credit rating usually has nothing to do with opening a new account unless you had an old account closed wirh money still owing on it

A credit check is not an issue in opening a bank account... Money, a Social Security Number and/or ID is all it takes... I also believe there is a minimum age requirement... check with your bank for every bank has different requirements.

Some credit unions allow you to open an account without checking prior credit history including bank accounts.

wells fargo. you can actually do it online. All you have to have is 100 bucks transfered from another account or you can take the money to any wells fargo bank!! :)

I don't remember BofA or Wells Fargo doing one. But, my memory lets me down sometimes.
You can always open a savings, though.

these days you have to sign your life away for anything, just to cash a check for my work i had to give out my name address ssn phone number work address work number drivers licence number and the list goes on and on its rediculious and a total invasion of privacy cause they have the money they have the power, down with the man!!!
