If you HAVE to have wine, Charles Shaw Chardonnay (better known as "2 buck Chuck") is available for about $4/bottle from Trader Joe's Nationwide.

I would rather see you serve Newcastle Brown Ale, which is a beer with some life to it, but it isn't the muddy stuff for thick-necked guys named Gunter.

Additionally, if you won't do beer, and you prefer red, I would recommend Mark West pinot Noir 2004. It's uncomplicated enought to attend a cookout.

something light like a summer wine fruity with a great nose like azinfandel or a rose a blend of sweet and dry so the food flavors arent lost a heavy red or a gragey wine demolishes flavors unless its a big taste like a steak then go for the cabernet a light varietal wine is best for bar-b ques ask at the wine shop the toastmasters online have recommendations too i was a chef in the army and number two cook out of 2300 cooks at ft brag and leaned italian and bar cookery before that training and was a drunk for 16 years and learned wines from a wine scholar

I'm a wine snob, but even I must admit that hamburgers hot dogs and chips are a meal made for BEER. Go with a medium-bodied lager with wild mustard base notes and hints of saurkraut, without too much oak. (yes, I'm KIDDING!)

There really isn't any wine that goes with burgers, dogs and chips. I guess if you had to have some, I would go with a cabernet sauvignon but you would be better off with either beer or coolers...

I want to say beer & coolers, but if you like wine, a nice synfendale is nice, or those wines that come in the box with the pour spout, white is nice.

I would go with a white wine. It doesn't really go well with that but that it probably what I would chose. Try putting a few ice cubes in it to make it even colder and also dilute it a little. Riesling would be good.

Depends on what you like. Something refreshing... Sangria if you're having a party, but if you're more of a oenophile, try a California Pinot Grigio. But whatever kind you choose, try to get a lighter variety (not Cabernet, for example) and get the best you can afford.
