You can use special shampoos and conditioners after you swim. Also, before you get in the pool, have her soak her hair in water from the bath tub of shower. Her hair will absorb that water and the Chlorine will have very litte, if any, effects on it.

The first thing you should do is keep your daughter out of the pool for a few days, and use a deep moisture hair mask everyday to get her hair closer to normal (not as dry), Then, you should rinse her hair well with clean, cool water before she goes in the pool. When hair is dry, it acts like a sponge, absorbing any liquid. If the liquid has chlorine in it, it will dry the hair out even further. Then, let her go in the pool, but only for limited times--hours can be rough on skin and hair, which is NOT fun. Make sure she showers right after being in the pool (using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner), to get the chlorine out. If all else fails, wear a cap in the pool. I know it can sometimes look dorky, but they have many colors and cool designs. When given the choice of having dry, damaged hair and not wearing a cap, or having beautiful, glossy hair, and wearing a cap in the pool, I would choose the second one. Hope this helps!!

Ha, see years ago my little cousins hair (very very blonde, almost white hair) would turn green (I called her boogerhead) and mine (brown hair) would get green on the ends where it was getting brittle. We tried swim caps and well we were little and they didn't stay on, I mean get real. So before getting in the pool we would put conditioner in our hair and then right when we got out we would wash our hair with special shampoo and conditioner. With the conditioner, let it set for 3 minutes or more before washing it out. It helps but it's not going to completely correct the problem if your kids were like us and in the pool everyday of our summer break.

Depending on how much time she spends in the pool, use a clarifying shampoo once a week. Keep in mind, chlorine and clarifying dry the hair. A GOOD conditioner is very important! Try to buy a conditioner that will siut her needs. Salon formulas work best for swimmers!

Put on conditioner before you get into the pool so it stays conditioned then after swimming immediately wash your hair.

BEFORE GETTING IN THE POOL, HAVE HER PUT CONDITIONER IN HER HAIR! WHEN SHE GETS OUT, SHE SHOULD WASH HER HAIR WITH BAKING SODA TO STRIP THE CHLORINE OFF! AND OF COURSE, CONDITION AGAIN!

Have your daughter wet her hair before getting in.This way it won't soak up as much chlorine. Also try using a hair restoration conditioner. You can find them at local beauty supply stores.
