Eyes: The rim of the helmet should be one to two finger-widths above the eyebrows.
Ears: The straps should form a "V" just beneath the ear lobe.
Mouth: The buckle should be flush against the skin under the chin; when the rider opens his mouth, he should feel the strap snug on the chin and the helmet hugging the head.

A bike helmet would definitely be good especially if the bike helmet fits better then the skateboarding helmet. Use whatever is going to keep your kid the safest.

No helmet should fit loose, because it has greater risks of falling off during an accident, and your child could suffer brain injuries! If he is going to use it for a skateboard get one of the customer service people to help, but if its for a bike, then stick w/the bike helmet!

Depending on where you live. You might check your area for a child's bike rodeo. They teach bike safety, and give away free helmets to children. You might also try your local clinic, or hospital. The clinic where I work, give free helmets for the asking. The hospital also give children helmets after any type accident. So they would also help with the proper fit. Helmets for kids are GREAT!!!

youthful ones are going to wiggle loose tooth on their own because they're youthful ones. they'll fall out finally. My son is only a million a million/2 and under no circumstances quite loosing tooth yet :) at the same time as he does my husband and that i have determined he receives a silver dollar in protecting with tooth and a touch trinket (sugarless gum, a clean toothbrush or flavored floss for little ones- some thing like that) at the same time as i replaced right into a baby the tooth fairy paid .50 cents a tooth. There are kin with youthful ones dropping tooth that I have. tooth fairy of their domicile leaves $5 a tooth, yet to me that's a touch intense . i'd not attempt to "keep up with the Jonses" both in words of what his acquaintances get.

go to the skateboarding website www.ccs.com and just look around for a helmet for kids his age they have all sizes.
and being a skater of 3 years he will someday he will learn how to fall without hitting his head so don't force him to wear the helmet all through his skating career it could cause him to be frustrated and will have a harder time learning in school and could become anti-social. trust me ive seen way to many goth skaters become goth because of that.

dont get a skateboadr helmet. and definately not if he is only 6. they arent as safe as bike helmets, and his skull is still developing so any injury can hurt him permanantly. make him wear a bike helmet, cause there safer.
