I encountered a very unique situation and didn't quite know how to rule. The game was 8 ball, no slop, no last pocket, call your shots. Situation: Cue on just a little off side rail shooting at their ball just off opposite rail back into the side pocket. Almost dead on needed to use english of course. Hit the cue ball so hard that the person didn't have a chance to move the stick out of the way and hit the tip as he was trying to get out of the way. I mean it was like a blink of an eye! These players are not cheaters or "sharks" just above average bar pool players. What is your opinion? If you need more info on the situation let me know. I will add more details if needed.

Sorry everyone that answered thanks but it wasn't the opponent - it was the players own cue stick that hit the cue ball and like i said it happened SO FAST that - to me - there was actually no way he could have gotten the stick out of the way.
