God's only spoken commandment in the bible is "be you perfect even as I am perfect"
why do you think our souls are eternal? its going to take a loooooooooooooooong time to reach spiritual perfection but it is never too late to start.

Lets put words blasphemy or religion away. What is blasphemy in one religion might not be blasphemy in another. Asking this quation is good as only then one can become a true believer..

What is God: (ok we all know what God is!) but with religon aside and going simpler (not using only believes) it is: (check dictionary) Divinity, Supernatural being, Spirit .. further Holiness, Ghostlike being, Force (Synonyms: Jehovah, absolute being, all knowing, all powerful, almighty, creator, daemon, deity, demigod, demon, divine being, divinity, father, holiness, holy spirit, idol, infinite spirit, lord, maker, man upstairs, numen, omnipotent, power, prime mover, providence, soul, spirit, totem, tutelary, world spirit etc)

......and human mortal poor and bloody creature

So if one thinks a human can live forever and make yet another bang (creat life), attend and hear all 6 billion humen at once (ok, also all the souls of people who died)and help them where needed (that excluding outside alliens who also surely know of God), surely God would love to go on holiday one day... however he will nevr be that lucky.

So simply: no, human cant be a God.

best regards

The only thing we truly know about God is that God is the idea of Creator.
We don't even know for sure if Man didn't create the idea of God in order to explain where everything came from. The 'image' of a creator is pretty easy to obtain, but the most important thing, and the purpose of all life is to create more useful structure than it consumes in resources. This is the Net Creativity of a species.
God supposedly created everything from nothing. This is the ultimate explanation of Net Creativity. We can only strive toward this kind of goal.

My name is Michael. It's origin is Hebrew. It means "Who is like God?" with the question mark. I don't believe I have the potential to be even near God-like. I wouldn't even consider putting myself on that level. Yes, I would consider such to be blasphemus. You may hear an evangelist now and then that might make such a claim, or say he has a direct line to God. But if you think about it, IF you believe in God, then we ALL have a direct line to God. If we were gods, then we would be immortal.

The Mormans believe that men will become Gods; that but it's not in the Holy Bible.

It's in the Book of Morman.

It also says in (NLT) Rev. 22:18And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the prophetic words of this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone removes any of the words of this prophetic book, God will remove that person's share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.

20He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon!"

Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all.

Matt. 7:15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

Matt. 24:11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.

Matthew 24:24 (Whole Chapter)
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible.

2 Peter 2:1 (Whole Chapter)
[ False Teachers and Their Destruction ] But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.

Grace to you and God Bless

No. God is eternal which means He has always lived and will never die. Man is not eternal in his physical body and will die. Man is immortal in his soul which means he will never die. Mans soul was created by God and will live forever. Therefore, to become like a god is impossible because there is only one God and He is Jehovah. He is from everlasting to everlasting without beginning and without end. Mankind cannot become like God because we were created by God and nothing created can become greater then its creator. God is the uncaused cause for all existence. Therefore, since man is created he cannot hope to become like God because he is not from everlasting to everlasting.

We can never be perfect like God while we are on this earth. We are sinners. When we accept Jesus into our hearts than all of our sins are forgiven...forever. Obviously we will keep sinning until we reach Heaven and we become perfect like God. In God's word he encourages us ot strive to be like him in everything we do (he has set the example) but obviously we cannot be perfect like him while we are on this earth, and no matter how hard we try we will always fail to be "just" like him.

We can work to become like God but we can never become God. I think our journey on earth is to prepare us for an eternity with God. The best way to journey is to follow His path as set forth in whatever religion you choose to follow.

Some dictators consider themselves as Gods. For example Hitler and Trujillo.
