Only if they are a diabetic! I had a cat that was a diabetic and I had to give him human insulin twice a day! It was humanil u! It helped him live for two more years! It doesn't even hurt them! But you always have to make sure that you take them to the vet to get glucose curves! This checks their blood sugar! You can't just poke their paws to check it! The vets have to draw blood to check their blood sugar! But Yes they can use human insulin! It's very cheap too and it lasts longer BC they don't need as much as humans do! Ask your vet to check to see if he is a diabetic first! If not it could put him in shock!

I don't want you to try to give a dog insulin, but the insulin that humans inject, are made from cow, pork and synthetic hormones.

There is no such thing as "human" insulin and "dog" insulin. It is all the same insulin medicine.

.I use to work with a nurse that use to inject her diabetic dog with human insulin....but check with your Vet...there are various types of insulin

If your dogh is diabetic, it needs to be seen by a vet and prescribed the right meds and the correct dosage for the dog.
