Two years ago this past Feb. I met someone through an online dating site. In Oct. we will be getting married. My best friend also met her husband of 3 years the same way. It does happen. If you consider doing this make sure you are as honest as you can be in your profile. This is what people are going to initially learn about you. Also, I personally feel the sites you have to pay for are worth it because the people that use those sites tend to be more serious and mature. Good luck!!

Anything's possible.

I've been engaged twice in the last 5 years. . .both with guys I met online. I broke the first off, and the second. . .well. . .I still wish it could work, but we just don't have some pretty basic things in common that need to be there. It wasn't because people didn't want to commit, though.

Use extreme caution.

Good luck.

Well, I hear some people have gotten married through the internet, and some have met the wrong one. It doesnt always work for everyone, and besides now days you got to be careful who you meet on line, never meet this people alone.......Just be careful and dont get your hopes up to high..........My friend met someone and gotten married and it didnt last, so you is checking it out again, but its been over a year now, and now she is taking it much slower .

Yes, but don't get your hopes too high. Men are the same whether you meet them online or offline. You are setting yourself up for failure if you think you're going to have a better chance at finding someone to marry online. Life is about having fun and if all you are concerned about is getting married, it makes me wonder about you. If a woman talked about wanting to get married to me, before even getting to know me, I'd be out of there. Be happy with yourself and if you feel that if you never meet the "Perfect man" for you and you feel that you will fine, then I would say go out, date and hopefully you will find the right one. To me, usually when a woman states that she wants to get married there are some issues I worry about. Many times, they are not able to support themselves or the lifestyle they would like to have and expect a man to come to their rescue. Big no no for me.

Absolutely! There are lots and lots of sincere people on there, that truly want to get married, and settle down. Just like out here though, you have to go through a lot of people to find one that you are compatble with. Good Luck!

My mother in law tried it. She did it every once in awhile, went on a few dates. Then she met a guy and now they're married. She did it through yahoo, none of those expensive sites.
