Petroleum based products like gasoline will run out,is that good since they are carcinogens ,mutagens?

Petroleum is nothing more than dinosaur feces.There is nothing good or bad about it.It is organic.It is when we refine it that it turns to fuel products.
The only bad thing is that we rely so heavily upon it.The age of alternative energy has approached us and it will change things drastically.
It will be good for the environment as well.Reduction of air pollution mainly.
