I farted the other day and I could sware it was just a clean fart. Turns out I soiled most of my tighty whiteys underwear and they were stained brown. I mean Is there a pre-emptive way of knowing whether you are about to shart or just fart. What are the symptoms?

I don't know. But why don't you just carry around those adult moist wipes (they're like baby wipes but are for adults)? Yes, they do have them because mostly elderly people use them. (I use to volunteer at a nursing home.) Also, just because mostly elderly people use them doesn't mean younger people can't use them.
ex: Charmin Freshmates (you can find them at the isle with toilet paper in the store)

When we were in grade school we were told we have five senses. We have many more. This is one of them. The rectum can sense the difference in density between solid stool and gas, butt it is less accurate when detecting the difference between liquid and gas...hence the messy skid on your whities. Just throw that pair away.
