The wider ones with cloth on them and the ones that go around your head dont hurt as much. My favorites are the stay-put ones from goody. they're for sports, but they dont pop off the back of your head if you really need a headband.

Every headband is different. If you get one that is too tight, or doesn't hold your hair comfortably, try a new one. The type of hair you have is also a factor to consider. If your hair is thick and heavy, you'll need a sturdier hair accessory to hold it back. If you have very fine hair, a thin plastic band will work for you. Get rid of any headbands that are actually causing you pain and replace them with ones that work for you. Grab a selection of different ones at the dollar store if you need to experiment.

Make sure that the headband you chose is age appropriate. Some are meant for younger, smaller heads.
Dollar stare headbands are usually smaller I have found. Revlon makes headbands for youths and adults. If you are in your teens, lean towards the adult versions!

Loosen the headband. It shouldn't cause a headache.

I can't wear headbands either!!!! Plastic is painful! Your should try a strechy cloth one that goes all the way around your head. This doesn't work for me too well (they pop off the back of my head, lol). It may for you though!

i think you mean 'headband', well i have the same problem, i don't think there's anything you can do to help it, maybe you can just get used to having headaches, or take ibuprofen every day.

Husbands would'nt be headaches if thie wives gave "It" up on a regular bases instead of treating it like C-Rations from World War II. OH! you said 'headbands".......never mind.
