i am looking for some recepies that i can use franks red hot with

Franks is THE ingredient for wings. Here is the original recipe from Ancors bar in Buffalo NY

Buffalo Wings

1-12 Oz Bottle “Franks Original” red hot sauce
2-Tbs Vinegar
1-Tbs Lemon Juice
2-Tbs Margarine or Butter
1-Tsp Garlic Salt
1-Tsp Onion Salt

Heat in microwave to blend well & melt margarine. Use Hot.

Cut up desired amount of chicken wings saving tip ends for chicken broth if desired. Separate remaining wing sections. Cook chicken without any flour or seasoning of any kind. Chicken may be deep fried (best), baked or grilled. While still hot put chicken into container that has a tight lid add generous portion of hot sauce and shake well to cover. Remove & serve.

(For our slow cooker – fill w peanut oil about ¼” above fill line. Will cook about 24 wings per batch)

Bleu Cheese Dip

8-Oz Sour Cream
8-Oz Mayo
1-Tbs Lemon Juice
1-Tsp Onion Salt
1-Tsp Garlic Salt
5-TbsParsley Flakes
8-Oz Bleu Cheese

Mix well all above except cheese. Crumble cheese by hand into mixture and mix well to blend. Let stand in refrigerator 72 hours to allow flavor to peak. Serve with celery sticks. When served with hot wings the Bleu Cheese cuts the heat of the wings.

This is the original recipe from the Anchor Bar in Buffalo New York which made Buffalo wings famous. Franks Original Hot Sauce was originally called “Durkees”. It is still widely available as “Franks Original”. Find it – there is a difference.
