When it comes to dating and all...I am very chivalrous and old fashion for my age. I do anything and everything I can for my date, including the little things like holding open doors and trying to pay for everything.
It sure seems to me that all the gals nowadays are looking for that "badass" action hero...Does chivalry matter anymore?

Oh you dear, dear man. Yes, many ladies simply adore being helped in and out of our seats, having our wraps placed about our shoulders, being relieved of the "burden" of the magazine we are carrying. You've simple been so unfortunate as to be showering these wonderful attentions on ladies who are too silly to appreciate you!
Do a little self examination here. Just what sort of ladies have you been approaching and where? Perhaps you need to join some other social milieu. Or, if you are over 18, search the personal ads -- so many ladies are LONGING for the sort of attentions you describe.

I think it's cute when a guy does all that sort of thing, except when it comes to the paying for everything part. Women have worked through the entirety of human history to be on an equal footing with men career and money wise, so let us split the bill once in a while! Equal means EQUAL IN ALL THINGS! It's good to be polite and cute to be chivalrous, but a relationship that has staying power will put equality first. If your hands are full, she should be just as willing to open the door for you as you would be for her. Don't fall into the princess trap!

You must be dating the wrong women. THIS woman LOVES to have doors opened, cigarettes (bad girl) lit and chairs pulled out. Some of us are a little old-fashioned too and remember, what comes around goes around. Treat her with respect and HONESTY and you'll get it back 10 fold. Believe it!

yes! it definitely does matter. some people just don't learn to appreciated it until they're stuck with some 'badass' that ignores them or treats them like s.h.i.t. so good luck, i hope you find a girl that does appreciated all the little things you do :)
