Hell isn't like anything you would/could ever imagine. i recommend you get a hold of this book. its called A Divine Revelation of Hell. by Mary Baxter. God took her on a journey to hell over a 30 day period. And the things she discusses are so horrid. But true. Please anyone who is not saved and is reading this, get a hold of this book.u do not want to go to hell. Please accept Jesus as ur personal savior with a true heart, and your reward will be everlasting life in God'
s reward for us. Get a hold of someone to pray with you, any questions concerning hell, this book, etc. email me bak. Definately avoid going to hell. you are tormented 24/7. you are haunted by evil spirits, demons, and other immaginable creatures. The sad thing is is that u hav all ur senses when ur in hell.. you smell the stench of burning flesh and other disgusting things, u see and hear evil things. Not accepting the Lord as ur personal savior and not believing God sent Him here to die for our sins and that he died on the cross at Calvary and rose 3 days later on Good Sunday only to be reunited with the heavenly father would cause u to go to hell. sinning and not abiding by the bible would cause u to go to hell. What u should be focused on is living a faithful life following the steps of our master. Heaven is our reward. Mary Baxter also wrote A Divine Revelation of Heaven where God takes her to Heaven. Try and find those two books i was talking about and maybe you'll get a better understanding. Like i Said, any questions, email me. God Bless.

The Bible does a pretty good job of describing Hell and it's pretty bad. Sin and not accepting Jesus Christ are two reasons why people go to Hell.

Yes, humans should avoid it, at all costs, but will they? That remains to be seen.

Yes, humans should want to go to Heaven instead. That's a no-brainer I think. : )

Hell is separation from God, humans who go there chose to because for some reason they do not want to accept the gift of salvation. Those last two questions are a little strange and do not deserve an answer. Which would you want perfect peace and love that goes beyond your imagination, or be with someone who spent their life causing harm and having no compassion for others. Would you rather drink gas when you are thirsty or drink water?

Hell is separation from God, we should do all we can to bring other humans to the saving knowledge of Christ.

Hell is a place of deep loneliness, if you go there you will weep and gnash your teeth, it will be so depressing that you will want to die every second but death will never come. You won't have any dreams or goals or anything to look forward to the pain and guilt of everything that you did evil to someone else will eat at you, the shame will be so unbearable and you'll always wonder why, WHY didn't you accept a relationship with Christ who bore the sins shame and guilt like all those other people who asked it of Him.

God wants a loving relationship with everyone, it is your choice to be with God in Heaven or go to hell.

Accept Christ now or be forever lost in outer darkness!

A lil' thing I like to use (dunno where I heard/read/saw this):

Heaven (nice breeze)

Heck (The middle a.k.a. Earth)

Hell (sizzlin')

Hell is extremely . . . painful, I would believe. There would be different types of pain, dependant on each person, sonce everyone's worse pain is different.

Extreme sin would cause someone to go there. Or maybe if they wanted to.

Humans should avoid it, but still some peope may want to live in Heck again,so some people may prefer not to go to Heaven just yet.

After Reading Joyce C's post, I just though of something. If Hell was quite simply Earth itself because we always get embrassed n' stuff and sometimes people give up and kill themsleves, it would make sense. When they return (to hell aka earth) their consience(sp?) tells them not to make the same mistake as they did in their past life, their consience being God giving them a second chance to do good with their lives, and when they do, they can go to heaven. Therefore, GOd's extremely forgiving self comes into play, along with horibble punishment, living on hell aka earth again. And (this is another thought, just occured) perhaps our good friends aka angels (or maybe people form our past lives) are the ones that help us along through life and get us to heaven. And the bad ones are the lonely souls who realized that they are in hell and want some company.
Course when the bad people are touched by angels aka good friends early in their lives, they might get a chance to go to heaven. Course then there's no heck involved....that sucks.

Hell is the waiting place for the damned. Once a person faces the final judgment before the white throne mentioned in Revlation chapter 20 they are cast into the lack of fire which most people think of as hell. It is a place of total hopelessness. It's a place where a person spends all eternity apart from the love of God in whose presence is fullness of joy.

The Devil will be there but he won't be like some story book character that rules that place and ventures out whenever he wants to. Everyone that doesn't come to God through faith in Jesus Christ will have all of eternity to wail and moan and gnash their teeth as they ponder the many chances that they had to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Bible describes three hells.

SHEOL OR HADES, THE FIRST HELL
The first term in Greek and Hebrew means the grave. It's the grave where the dead await the resurrection.
GENESIS 37:35---I SHALL GO DOWN INTO THE GRAVE.
PROVERBS 15:11--HELL & DESTRUCTION ARE BEFORE THE LORD.
ECCLES.9:10---NO WORK...OR KNOWLEDGE...IN THE GRAVE,
MATT.11:23---WILL BE BROUGHT DOWN TO HADES
1COR.15:55---O HADES, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY

GEHENNA, THE SECOND HELL
The second term in New Testament means the place of fiery destruction of the wicked.
MATT.5:22--...BE IN DANGER OF HELL FIRE
MATT.10:28--TO DESTROY BOTH BODY AND SOUL IN HELL

TARTAROO, THE THIRD HELL
This third term is only used once and refers to the place of restraint where the demon spirits were placed following the rebellion against God.
2PETER 2:4---BUT CAST THEM DOWN TO HELL.

The bible tells us that in hell there will be weeping and gnashing (grinding) of teeth. The bible also tells of a rich man who went to hell. He told Abraham he was in torment. He also asked that someone be sent back to warn his brothers so they could not end up going there. It would seem it is a place of anguish where people will be tormented day and night. The worse part will be that the person was separated from God for eternity with no chance of relief.I want to avoid that. Each person gets to make his or her own decision. I hope this will in some small way help you make yours.

I believe that there is a real Heaven to gain, and a real Hell to shun... i think that most people just don't live a life in Jesus because they don't think there are any bad consequences...The wages of sin is death and the gift of God is eternal life............. I believe that hell is a very bad place and nobody will ever want to go there. I would rather live life in Jesus and die to find out there is no heaven or hell, then live life thinking that Jesus, Heaven, and Hell are fake and die to find out they are really real places. hope i helped, e mail me if you want...... later =)
