What state do you live in? It depends on your state. They are all different. For example Minnesota doesn't go by a point system but Florida does. It just depends on that state.

I don't know what Anthony is thinking about, but I live in the Twin Cities and I have 4 points on my record (they'll be gone in July). Basically, any higher than 2 points and you're insurance will increase dramatically. You'll probably see a $50 a month increase with 2. If you are lucky, your insurance company might not even find out about it for a while.

Whatever number of points it takes to make a difference ( 2 points may not be enough to make a difference -) -- they probably will charge you aprox. 10% for 3 years.

if you are in NY 2 points won't do anything, but if you go over it your prices will go up.
you can make it go back down again if you take the safe drivers course, they will take 10percent off the cost of insurance.

2 pts may not make a difference, but any more will for sure.
