Because, unfortunately, his campaign was brilliant in that it divided the masses into smaller groups then each group was targetted with specific like-minded propaganda to appeal to it.

Unfortunately, the majority of Americans, either don' take the time or don't have the time to do any research on bits and pieces of propaganda thrown at them. They just seem to blindlessly follow without questioning who, what, where, why when. Especially when they have been targetted and this resulted in attracting them to a specific candidate.

I think with Bush's low approval rating atm, that many Americans are beginning to realize how he did this and are beginning to question... what is going on? How did we get to this point? Unfortunately, the masses are always slow to realize things but let's try to have faith that eventually they do see as most ppl I do believe in their hearts want the truth.

So because President Bush caused so many deaths he shouldn't be president, right? Okay lets follow that logic for a second, that would mean George Washington, Ab Lincoln, John Adam, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, Eisenhower...and basically any war time president, should not have been President? I would be scared to live in that world. Hitler would have exterminated the Jews, and ruled the world. The US would not exist because we would not have won in 1812. I shudder to think what the World may look like, honestly. It would be hell, and you think Bush is bad. How bout we salute a Statue of Hitler every day or Lenin or Stalin, or Po Pot. Scary!

Bush isn't the first president to have caused thousands of lost lives; one could say Abraham Lincoln is the "reason" for 600,000 some lives in the American Civil War, but Lincoln is still noted as one of the best presidents ever.

Because the majority of people voted for him.

Presidents don't make decisions about foreign policy. The Council on Foreign Affairs and the Trilateral Commission make decisions and flex their muscles through his position.

But don't forget, there's a system of checks and balances. Your representatives in the Senate and House let him go to war.

Bush means well, but he's obstinent, he never second guesses himself, and he never stops to think.

But, hey, I voted for him...

Every campaign targets individual groups, not just Bush's. Had we voted for Kerry, we'd likely be in the same situation right now, anyways. America just tried to pick the lesser of two evils. And America decided they hated Kerry more than they hated Bush.

But I'm not defending him. I still think he sucks as President. But most politicians suck.

I think a better way to phrase your question would be-- Why is Bush STILL president? The man should be impeached and pronto.

Seems like you are a real person of the world. You must be bursting with knowledge. Any other leaders of continents/countries you might be interested in focusing upon, maybe.....AFRICA, NORTH KOREA, CHINA, etc. You may find a handful of abuses going on there. (just a few)

LBJ was responsible for more deaths (about 55000 more) than Bush but they didn't kick him out of office or impeach him.
