How can you not believe? Where do you think you came from? Who do you believe created you? I mean your life has to be so empty without Jesus Christ. I cannot imagine a life without prayer or without a God to worship..... I mean there almost has to be a void in your lives.....

Most non-Christians have a problem with these inane and facile questions and answers given by hard-line, dogmatic Christians on such subjects as belief, origin, creation vs. evolution, etc...

For the Bible-thumping Christian, it doesn't matter what one says or how one says it;
...if it goes against Scripture --- then THEY ARE WRONG!

Fundamentalist Christians fail to understand that The Bible is little more than a collection of imaginary causes and effects, and it distresses them intensely when you point it out to them.

That's why I seldom even try to make a point with them anymore: It's like beating a Savior to death, only to see him resurrected and beaten to death again, and again, and again;...it gets old after a while.

"The Christian conception of God…- is one of the most corrupt conceptions of God arrived at on earth.: perhaps it even represents the low-water mark in the descending development of the God type. God degenerated to the contradiction of life, instead of being its transfiguration and eternal Yes! In God a declaration of hostility towards life, nature, the will to life! God the formula for every calumny of ‘this world’, for every lie about ‘the next world’! In God nothingness defied, the will to nothingness sanctified!..."

I'm sorry, but you sound so very arrogant that I can't help commenting on it.

I was raised Christian. I felt none of the fullness that you claim to feel. It was within Christianity that I felt a void. I knew that I was just mouthing the words, and there was nothing I could do to improve it, and I did try. So I turned to researching other religions, hoping to find one that would suit me spiritually. I also wanted something that didn't conflict with my beliefs, such as a disbelief in the heaven/hell concept, a belief that homosexuality isn't wrong but only a life choice like any other, a belief that abortion does need to be legalized, as well as prostitution, so that those women can at least be safe. I also wanted to find something that would let me realize my spiritual potential as a woman, which I did not find in Christianity. Instead, it felt like Christianity taught that women were lesser entities than men, which I know in my heart is not true.

So I became Wiccan. I have a very full heart now, full of love and laughter and so much happiness. I am not empty at all. I can't imagine a life that is based on Christianity anymore. To me, that is where the void is.

Easy, the story isn't unique. Many Pagan stories are just like it. Why should I believe Christianity over one that's older? I believe in a higher power, but certainly doesn't match anything man has written about it.
I wonder, how do you know if a Non's life is empty? Are you comparing us to yourself? Would you accept it if I said, "Your life must be so empty without Dionysus". I am sure you would laugh at me and think "How silly can this woman be?" Is your life void without the Goddess? Well, it must be.
I find it amazing when someone tries to dictate how another should feel based on their own personal views. You will find, in life, that 99% of the time you do this, you will be wrong. LOL

1) I can not believe because this is America, where that right is given to me
2) I came from the hospital where I was born.
3) My parents created me.

I don't have a void in my life, because I never created one that I needed to fill. There are other aspects to my life that I can enjoy without being dependent on religion or some sort of beliefs. I need not worship anyone at all, I am fully content with myself.

I'm a Hindu.

How can I not belive?
While I admire Jesus as a great guru and possibly as an avatar of God, I cannot accept the idea that he is the only avatar of God. It does not make sense that God would only come to our aid only once and it does not make sense that God would condemn so many people in the world for simply not believing in that avatar.

Where do you think you came from?
Hinduism teaches that the entire universe manifested from God. So I came from God. The divine spark is retained in everything in the universe, including you and I. We are not seperated from God because everything emerged from God.

Who do you believe created you?
God. As stated above, the entire universe and all other universes on all planes of existence were manifested from God. From God prakriti (matter) and purusha (spirit) emerged. From purusha came prana (life force) which entered into some of the prakriti. All of this continues in the cycles we see all around us, but it all manifested from God and everything retains it's divine connection to God.

My life is not without prayer or without God to worship. I do my daily puja (worship) at my home altar and say my prayers and do my meditation. I also strive to see God in all people, beings, and things and act accordingly so that my actions reflect how I would treat God. There is no void in my life at all.

What void? Should I have voids in my life because I chose to identify myself as a Buddhist Pagan? Am I really suppose to believe that my life will never be whole just because I don't read the bible, go to church, and pray to the Christian god? Should I really spend my life fearing over what some Christian god thinks about my every move? Is spending my life living my life to the fullest and doing everything I can to help others and make our world a better place for our future not good enough for your god because I won't accept his son as my 'savior'?

Hmm...must of thrown that memo out when I gained the ability to make decisions for myself. Isn't that where garbage belongs?

I came from the point of infinite density and matter. I am made of particles that were formed 15 billion years ago. So are you. I don't need a god to worship. I don't need a god to whine to about all my problems. I can marvel at the universe in all its complexity and find happiness in that I'm a part of it all. As long as I can observe the world around me and enjoy life with my family and friends, How could there possibly be a void?

Atheism is not a belief. Atheism is the absence (lack) of belief in God. Atheists are people who do not believe in God or other spiritual beings. Some atheists go further and deny that God, or other spiritual beings, exist. (Strong atheists)The stronger people are those who don't need to believe in God in order to go on living.
Where did we come from ? The Evolution of mammels on earth... Where does the earth come from? Rocks forming together by the gravity of the sun.... Where does the Universe come from? The Big bang....what caused the big bag? Who knows....You could also ask What created God? Either way, both answer don't make sense. Either way, something had to always exist. i just don't think it was a God.

I believe in Jesus Christ, but I also believe in other paths to God. I am exploring other religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam because they actually believe in karma and judgement after death. All some Protestants believe is that you can treat people like crap and commit horrible crimes against humanity but at the end of the day all you have to do is believe. That is BS to me!!

I am Catholic myself but I have one family member who is Muslim and another who is Methodist. My parents have allowed my sisters and myself to explore and choose what religion we want--as long as we have one. There is no void related to religion in my life. Let me ask you somethings. Why do you spend your time wondering why people don't believe in the exact same thing you do? Why do you care? You may think your life is nothing without Jesus Christ, that's fine but don't criticize those who are different from you.

The reasons for believe and not believe are the same. How can you believe in Jesus? My parents create me, simple as that. I am animal and part of all the living things in this planet. I believe in the theory of the Big bang, in Einstein, in evolution, in Leonardo Da Vinci, in Le Corbusier and in many excellent peoples that bring joy and hope and make me proud to be a human been, including Jesus. Finally I don't believe in God and I'm not empty. Why you believe in him?
