Actually it means non of these answers , the ONLY way to tell if your dog is running a fever is a rectal temp, IT IS A MYTH ABOUT THE NOSE.Now if your dogs temp is really high he/she may get the shakes or the body may feel warm as in a human but Not the nose.Normal temp for a dog is 100. to 102 .so unless there are other symptoms such as lethargy or vomiting or diarrhea I would not be too concerned

It usually means the dog is unwell. If the dog's condition does not change within a few hours I recommend taking the dog to a vet.

It usually means they are running a fever and are ill. It should be either cool or warm and moist. If it is hot and dry, it's time for a trip to the vet.

That's usually a fever. My dog gets that even when her arthritis flares up. See a vet - dog could be in pain.
